At this point I’m rooting against the Pacers. To me, they’re almost certainly finishing bottom 4. So that means best case, Clippers have a 52% chance at the pick. 2nd or 3rd worst, Clips have a 48% chance at the pick. Very last place, Clips still have a 48% chance and if it conveys it would be guaranteed the 5th overall pick.

I don’t see Pacers catching Jazz (5 games back), Pelicans (5.5 GB), or Mavs (6.0 GB). Pacers have the hardest strength of schedule remaining, and might only win like 3 more games the rest of the season.

I’ve officially joined the Chuck Mockler Suns hate club. They’re like this flying circus that rolls into town and keeps snatching wins by bombing threes. They just won’t die until the playoffs of course when the same team every game will gameplan for this and choke that BS off. Meanwhile, they keep making it impossible for us to gain any ground on them. Regardless of 7 or 8 we are going to have to go through them to get there and I can just see these twerps hitting 25 threes on us and steal that too. Maddening

It was really bad, esp. add on the 213 era went poof.

No one thought that we could come back from 6-21.

Tip of the cap to the team, and even Coach Lue.

L. Frank did do some magic in trading away both Beard and Zu.

We’ll see how the last part of the season goes.

Hopeful.

Just hope that we don’t get kicked in the nuts again.

definitely part of my rationale. Outside of OKC, not sure there is a team you’re really scared of. Nuggets seem to can’t get healthy. Spurs will be their first playoffs for almost their whole roster. Houston just isn’t scary.

OKC while looking like a juggernaut the last 2 years, repeating is tough, and a little luck goes against them and they’re out. Maybe not as wide open as it was a few years ago with the Nuggets/Suns/Grizzlies/Jazz all battling for the #1 seed, but feels like I wouldn’t be that surprised if any team 2-8 made it to the WCF.

Lakers-Wolves will be a good game. Lakers have great scoring and our old friend Luke Kennard looks like a natural as a Laker. JJ has done a great job getting him to show a real motor as a shot hunter. He’s averaging 8 shots per game in 24 mins over his last 6 and is shooting 53%, including 56% from 3. To shoot that many times when you share the floor with Luka (23 shots per game), Reaves (13 shots per game) is something. If you extrapolated Luke to 30 mins he’d be at around 10-11 shots per game.

If JJ has the stones to manage Lebron with 2nd unit guys and put more floor time for Luka/Reaves + 3 role players, the Lakers could emerge as the #3 seed.

The only rumored offer I saw for Kawhi literally made me laugh out loud. Allegedly Daryl Morey and the Sixers offered to give us back our draft picks that we sent for Harden and send back Paul George to match salaries. Lawrence Frank probably had to hit mute on his phone so Morey couldn’t hear the laughter and profanity in the room.

I still think a team like Detroit should’ve made a strong offer for Kawhi, but I get they’re probably still gunshy after Blake broke down physically for them.

I gotta imagine we’ll get better offers over the Summer, depending on what happens w/ the Aspiration scandal.

For the life of me, I just can’t see why and how folks spend their time mulling over what could have been. It’s like trying to put the toothpaste back in the tube or like trying to roll a super heavy boulder up a steep hill (Sisyphus) or trying to unring a bell. The FO made their calculations and executed moves for their team — a team that many fans follow closely. Sure fans may grumble but if they’ve stuck by the team long enougy, they’ll root for all the iterations of their chosen team, not just for the version they liked best. And like Osamu says, we’ll never know what a certain iteration would have accomplished as that’s the rankest speculation out there. This may fall on some deaf ears, but let’s move forward and root hard for this team to be it’s best version of itself.
