He’s going to have to show it over a little longer time frame. Reggie has been erratic, but proved he has what it takes in the playoffs last year. So lets see what happens going forward/later in the year when hopefully we have the full squad playing well and see what rotations are working.

He certainly has his share of stinkers, also was playing against a weakened opponent. As to this game and this team, a player better not get covid or suffer an injury or his minutes/rotation spot could be in jeopardy. Cases in point: Serge and Bled.
Serge: Keep this up and it’ll be a battle between Zu/Hart for who backs Serge up as S looked surprisingiy spry. One possible positive about the long season is that guys inevitably get their chance. Serge impressed.

Bled: Do we have a “who should be the starting point guard?” controversy on our hands? Bled looked outstanding, a strong, smart PG. Reggie who? It was nice to see a more controlled hand at the wheel. RJ has a bit in common with guys like Westbrook and Lou: they can be reckless at times and get into really bad situations. Sure, Bled had a few TOs but he played the most minutes. Happy for him and the team. As a PG himself, Ty has to have been impressed. FO is looking pretty clever for nabbing this guy.
Nice to go into this break with this kind of team win. And, speaking of the holidays, have happy ones everyonel!!

Even though the Kings had that big run, I thought the Clips still played really solid D. Kings just made some tough shots. It looked like they had their rotations down and they were flying around on the switch. The young guys bring some really good energy and it works when they are sprinkled in. I think it’s a blessing in disguise that Reggie is getting some forced rest. He looked really tired and was dribbling the air out of the ball. Hopefully Clips as a team come out of the break ready to go. This could be a Championship team with a healthy Kawhi.

But Imagine if the score had been tied when they went in that 20-6 run. We would have been run out of the gym—-again—-by a young team.
