Especially unfair for 7 and 8 who are basically forced to play one or maybe 2 high pressure winner take all games. If they persist on keeping it going, they should at lease somehow reward the teams surviving the play-in with something, anything. Maybe a neutral site game. It’s fine to reward the top two seeds with rest and HCA but the league is penalizing the 7/8 with this format. By going back to the old system, you place great emphasis on the last few games if there’s a tite race. Sure the play-in is a boon to the 9/10ers of this world, but cheapens the reg season accomplishments of the 7/8.

Powell in 5 games as a Clipper: 21pts/3reb/3ast/1blk, 50/54/85 shooting, PER of 27, TS% 68%. That is just crazy efficiency. PER36 is 31pts/4reb/4ast which would be MVP kind of numbers if he played that many minutes. And it’s not even like those PER36 are based on some super limited minutes like you see with some players (ie. Boban’s 28pts/11reb PER 36), obviously just limited number of games.

Totally sucks that we could beat any team in the playoffs except probably the Suns, Grizzlies and Bucks. If we win the play in I guess that’s good because we can get three days off before playing Memphis but I still would prefer to play the Suns. We’ll let go of the rope quicker against a young Memphis team than we would fight to the death against Phoenix. This would push the Suns to the brink like we did the Warriors in 2019. Let see CP and the Suns show the world how great they are facing us in the 1st round, Luka in the second and the Grizzlies in the WCF. I don’t think they survive and if for some reason they did then they would likely have to overcome Giannis in the finals after all that.
