Not sure what rumors to believe or not but evidently the Bucks are going to be somewhat influenced by where Giannis would prefer to go. While they probably don’t want him in the East, they will be undergoing a rebuild over the next 3 years minimum whereupon he will be 35 and probably not something coming back to haunt them. For this reason Miami looks like a pretty likely option insofar as they definitely have the assets and picks to pull it off.

It’s too bad we have all this aspiration crap hovering because if he wanted to come here we might be able to get it done.

Boston gets Zu and DJJ, and sends Simons and two firsts to Milwaukee.

We send Milwaukee our two firsts, plus Collins and they will probably demand YKN and/or Sanders too.

We get Giannis. The math all works.

To recap that’s Simons, Collins, YKN/Sanders and four firsts for Giannis. Not a terrible offer if Giannis really wanted to come here.YKN would appease their fanbase because they would see some flashes of Giannis in him.

As for tomorrow, this is another prove it game for us. If we can’t beat the Nuggets in Denver without Joker on the second night of b2b then we’ll have zero chance of prevailing in a series against them. These next three games are going to inform the front office in a major way as to whether we are buyers or sellers at the deadline.

Here’s hoping that LF got his extension because he’s already got something big coming down the pike.

You know, I keep following the box scores for the Bux–I really feel for Amir as he seldom, if ever, gets off the bench. He has/had solid skills and was a fairly reliable shooter. Something’s gotta be happening behind the scenes. Or, is he just not good enough to play nba minutes these days.

On another note, GSW seems ready to throw out all the stops/pix for Giannis. If they get him — and are not too decimated — GSW is gonna be trouble. So, hope it happens in the off season or, at least, he ends up in the east.

Last—we get Den on their B2B–hope tonite’s game goes double OT.

Sacramento might be willing to take Bogi as an expiring to get off Monk’s deal (and because they’re incompetent). I’d do that in a heartbeat.

Combined w/ the Lakers having a pisspoor defense – they have like 2 dudes (Smart, Vanderbilt) on the entire roster who consistently play better than average defense.

Great game from the vets, not so good shooting night for the young guys.
But it feels like they already blend in seamlessly with any line-up.
Even if DJJ return, I honestly believe Miller and Sanders will still be in the rotation.
Decent size player with good BBIQ is valuable.
Hope we keep playing the right way and the result will take care of itself.

KD finally giving us what we need at the 2 guard spot–14 pts and 5 effing steals (James had 4). Maybe it was a revenge/return game but I’m seriously rooting for KD to keep up this stellar play. KD really was why we pulled away and totally exposed Utah for the crappy team they are. They were just so sloppy with the ball in the 2nd half. Seems like the Utah fans really liked KD and Collins. Clips FO strikes again.

So, trade Bogi–problem is that nobody would take him.

They gave Frank an extension. I’m fine with that. He’s been overall very creative and kind of kept us on life support at times. Gotta let go of the SGA thing.

A lot of chatter about which guard we should target and although there’s an extra year on the contract I’d prefer Monk #1. Then Coby White #2 and Sexton #3. The thing with Sexton for me is that while he would probably be the lowest risk, I’m not sure how much more he brings than Miller or Sanders to justify cutting into their minutes. Monk can go full Mamba mode and so can White, which would bring some electricity if our stars are flat.

The ultimate prize for me however is still Mathurin, but the FO may want to take their chances on signing as a FA in the offseason on the lark that the Pacers can’t trade him.
