During the 213 era, we truly hoped for a Championship, and we mortgaged our future on KL and PG. I didn’t work out.

PG left in free agency; KL is still injured and silent.

What is a fan supposed to do?

Every new season — every fan has hope that this season will be the one, but after 14 games, reality has set in, and we have a lot of work to do — just to remain .500.

Maybe, a more realistic view is to try to achieve a better record than Houston so that
OKC will not take our draft pick this year, but that may not be possible.

So, instead, take each quarter, each play and look for improvement.

I don’t have a lot of hope with Coach Lue.

But, I really do like basketball, but being a Clippers fan this year is going to be tough. Maybe, no emotional attachment.

I don’t see his value and I see much better upside for the club by letting those other guys play. The fans really like those guys and aren’t invested in Porter. I’m not convinced KPJ is a NBA level player.

If Kawhi comes back (and I have low expectations) KPJ would probably stay in the rotation and that means someone else sits. That wouldn’t sit well with me because part of what we’re supposed to be doing is player development.

I also just don’t like how the team is approaching Terance Mann. Dude was a legit starter last year, legit shooter and just needs more clear direction on what role he’s supposed to play. He can be a 2nd ballhandler, spot up shooter, even backup PG, and scorer, but just not seeing the coaching staff showing the confidence in him that his contract and tenure merit.

If we can play the same kind of defense and limit turnovers (Beard) against the Warriors, then we can survive this winter.

Keep improving every game.
