Excellent game: general note of concern over the lack of primary mins handed out to T. Mann, who all season has proven one of thee most capable two-way players on this roster at unlocking fluidity on both offense and defense (sort of like Zu was last season).

Def are going to need Mann to log mins in the playoffs, so really hope his lack of mins these past few games are not a sign of the staff overlooking him in their playoffs roster/matchup-makings.

This post from the Denver Stiffs: “I think the Clips pretty much proved they aren’t tanking last night. Could have sat KL and/or PG, but played both. Close game for 3 quarters against a team trying to win, so they could have shut it down at any point in the second half. I mean, you never know, but it looks like they’re fine with a LAL series if it comes to that. And I don’t blame them if that’s the case.”

Well, the clips will be without PG, Kawhi, Reggie, Bev, and Mann against the Rockets tonight.

If I knew any better, I sense a little tanking going on. If clips lose tonight and Denver beats Pistons, Denver will move back up to the 3rd spot which would assure clippers avoiding lakers in the 1st round regardless of what happens this Sunday.

And to all those pessimists out there, refrain yourselves from tonight. I think the clips want to lose.

No seeding is locked up except the Spurs.

As for the play in for the Lakers, I do feel that it is inevitable. Portland is gonna throw everything in the last home game of the season against the Nuggets. Just like Sjake said, Nuggets don’t want any part of the Lakers in the first round if the clips decide to tank against the Thunder. Better to be safe and rest your guys plus Lakers would still be on the other side of the bracket.

If I’m Denver my best scenario is to help the Lakers into the 6 seed to weaken or derail us while at the same time getting the Lakers out of their bracket. Without listing all the possibilities I’d say the odds of that are at about 80% right now.

Most fun I’ve had watching end of the season games in a long time. Hope they tweak the play-in so that teams need to be w/in a certain number of games of each other, but other than that I hope they make it permanent.

Hahaha. All unbelievably good games. I’m really liking this play-in game element. Assuming that the Clips take care of business in Houston, I’m thinking that Denver is going to tank the game against Portland on Sunday. This shit is confusing as all get out, but it looks like Denver will want to avoid Lakers by losing to Blazers in the off-chance that Clips lose to OKC . I think?!?
