They started the 3rd quarter sluggish with poor D, and the Heat went on a 10- 0 run. Lue pulled Luke pretty quick and put in Reggie, the pace picked up and the ball started to move and the Clips started scoring and got their momentum back. Luke looks slow, easily gets driven around, I’d give him a D-. I missed part of the game, so might have missed some decent playing by him, but he looked pretty bad from what I saw.

Reggie playing 39 and 37 minutes in the last 2 games, especially when he plays at a fast pace maybe had something to do with his errors at the end, the guy could have been gassed. Mostly was a solid contributor other than that.

Our $3M man still can’t get off the bench?!

…I’m just gonna pretend PatPat’s $3M deal was the cost of re-signing PG13. Now that Reggie has stepped up, PatPat has occupied the Reggie spot of “I expect nothing out of this guy.” So any actual production we get outta him is just bonus – like finding an extra $10 bill in your wallet.

It’s the classic Chris Webber play. I did it myself once, in a rec league, maybe 30 years ago, in a playoff game. My friends are still bummed about it and give me a hard time.

I’ll be honest, in the first quarter I switched to Lakers-Pistons. At least Blake turns himself on when he sees the yellow shirts haha. At least it was a rewarding watch, too 😉

Love this team.
They have fights in them.

Great win. Tuned in late (after looking at the lopsided first quarter score) and saw the one sided score and thot for sure the clips were down. But after looking closely it dawned on me that the clips were up big.

And then there was the Reggie time out call. At first blush, the guy pulled a JR Smith. But then you see how he owned it with his anguish during the ensuing TO. Expected. But I have to think that some blame has to go to the coaches. They need to make the players AWARE. Did they? Reggie has to learn from this (he gets kind of a pass because they won). I mean giving the other team a point AND the ball at that juncture, “c’mon man!”

This game has to give us at least some hope for tonite’s game. When, pray tell, can we expect reinforcements?

Luke needs to watch some Herro tape.

I thought Zu wasn’t so great down the stretch but the whole team reverted.

Reggie like I said has grown on me. His heart is in it but he just can’t help himself at times.

I agree the 3rd qtr 3-pt barrage will get the headlines. But after the atrocious 1st qtr, this was really a “reverting to the mean” situation. They finished at 40%: that’s good, but not something that a causal box score reader will say won the game.

It’s like all the cheese being on one side of the macaroni. It seems wrong, but when all is said and done you feel satisfied.
