I wouldn’t trade away Morris so easily. MM fits well with PG and KL. This is indeed a strange year. We’re hoving around .500 with grit and newly discovered talent — hopefully, this year of struggle will lead to growth when we are fully healthy.

We’re in a wierd year without KL and PG, and true, any moves now would have to be in context to next year (and maybe another year afterwards).
I’m a little bummed out that the Ibaka acquisition really fizzled out with his injury and drop off in performance. We could have really used a healthy Ibaka against the Suns last year in the WCF.

I feel bad for the bench … they played their hearts out & could have pulled out a win if the starting unit didn’t lay another egg. Zu, Reggie & Mann have looked like shit for at least the last 5 games. Ty needs to change up the starting unit becuz us fans don’t deserve the shit show we are seeing.

I think any trade that the FO makes at this year’s deadline is going to be move that benefits next season. Even if KL and PG13 come back this season, I just think GS and Memphis are better teams and we are not likely going to get past them in the playoffs. With that said, I think the FO should approach this trade deadline looking to retool or reload this roster. Here are some of my pie in sky moves that I would like to see the FO make:

Trade 1:

Serge Ibaka to either the Nets or Mavericks for a protected 2nd Rd Pick. Both teams need a Center and both teams have a TPE larger than $10 Million

Trade 2:

Dario Saric + Suns 2023 1st Rd Pick into Serge Ibaka TPE. Suns are looking to get rid of Saric’s contract and his contract amount would fit into Serge’s TPE.

Trade 3:

Marcus Morris to Chicago
Troy Brown Jr, Patrick Williams + 2023 Suns 1st Rd Pick to Houston
Christian Wood to Clippers

Chicago is in the win now mode so a veteran power forward like MM Sr would fit in nicely with them. Houston is looking to get rid of Wood and a young player + 1st rd pick should be enough to get it done.

Trade 4:

Eric Bledsoe to Cleveland
Ricky Rubio + Cleveland 2022 1st Rd Pick to Clips

Cleveland is firmly entrenched in the playoff race and need a backup PG really bad. Bledsoe fits the bill for them.
