FWIW, every extended interview that I have seen with Kawhi, he seems like a very thoughtful, wise and measured person. He is very focused on his main task of winning championships. One could say that coming out of a non-traditional basketball school like San Diego St., he has done quite well — and will continue to do well.
Pat Beverly’s comments about Kawhi, when he is with his friends, he is supposed to be quite the joke teller.

Reggie works best alongside PG and Kawhi and the full strength starters (typically MM and Zubac). If they’re out he has to do more than he can do consistently. Like khyber jones said, Reggie’s had to wear a number of hats over the seasons he’s been with the Clippers and has bailed them out on multiple occasions. It’s the problem with the roster that it’s geared to work best whenever the stars are fit.
Problem is that’s not happened as much as we would hope it would.

NO 3 guard lineup, Mann “may” be the exception but def no Reggie/Wall lineups.

It’s lunacy to me to try to run smallball w/o Mann. He’s by far our best rebounding guard (I consider Kawhi and PG13 forwards) and one of our best on-ball defenders – every smallball lineup should have at least 1 of Mann, PG13, and Kawhi on the floor at all times.

It really is inexplicable how Ty is so seemingly infatuated w/ Wall and Norm considering what Reggie has already done for us. He’s super inconsistent, but that just means he needs to be properly reined in and managed, not that he should be cut out of the rotation entirely – particularly when the dudes replacing him in the rotation aren’t doing any better.

There is no point lol – like I said I don’t wanna be here, but I just don’t have faith in Ty anymore. Stay in camp optimism as long as you can, man. I’m not actively trying to convince anyone to join me here on the dark side – my comments are more just me ranting w/ a sprinkling of what I think the best course forward would be (re: promptly trading away the least helpful vets and replacing Ty w/ Dan Craig).

That joke works b/c he rarely speaks out, which is rare for an nba super star. I don’t really have an opinion on whether or not he’s on the spectrum as it’s none of my business. If you want to act like he is, go right ahead, but I don’t think its fair to expect everyone to jump in, especially in thus context where I was pointing out how comforting it was as a fan that Leonard is sharing his thoughts on the current situation. I’m generally very pro Leonard’s “quirks” as an nba star and have a lot of respect for the way he carries himself. Even if I did make a terminator joke, it would probably be as a compliment because the guy is a stone cold killer on the court and I think its pretty cool how locked in he is even in high pressure situations. He’s one of a kind from what I can tell.

Actually, many have wondered over the years if Kawhi is on the spectrum. He’s been widely mocked for his reticent public behavior. “Leonard actually made a statement. I don’t know if this is a sign of the apocalypse… it’s fascinating that Leonard is actually speaking… It’s much more comforting that silence…” Such comments don’t come from a bad place, just an ignorant place.
