That’s obvious. What isn’t obvious is the potential for Lonzo to play better on the clippers than he is currently in NOLA. If players are always the same whereever they go, then it would be really difficult for teams to get better through trades.

But the truth is if Lonzo was a Clipper right now and had put up the performances he has put up so far for NOP, people would be on here every day freaking out about how we need to trade him.

Just listened to Locked on Pelicans podcast and they think that Lonzo has no value. Any team willing to trade for him is a team that wants to pay him after this summer. If this is right, Mann and Lou should get it done.

This is still my number 1 desired trade. I’d be all in on this team winning it all this year if they pull this off. Lonzo is precisely what we need, and I can totally see him playing the best version of himself on this team. Luke can basically take over Lou’s role on the bench. Alternatively, you could also have luke start next to lonzo and have beverly bolster the bench, with a lot of the offense flowing through Morris. Either way, swapping Lou for a plus defender/passer/rebounder should do wonders for this team, which has already been scoring with ease.

Pretty sure I remember Lucas saying trading for Lowry was impossible due to the Clips being too close to the hard cap…

He rebounds, plays D, and is a very willing passer. Our roster is loaded with guys who can score. By adding a guy who can get the ball moving faster, it will make it that much easier to score. He’s the type where if we run our offense through him, everybody on the floor is going to be completely engaged and moving b/c he’ll get them the ball and help them score.

The fact that he rebounds and defends as well as he does means he won’t hurt the team in any way when he’s on the floor and will solve a lot of the problems we have when Lou is on the floor.

Although for current Lou + Mann + Kabs it’s likely worth to try. He’ll be still flippable just in case.

I don’t understand the love for Lonzo. He’s overrated, plays an awful season, has a problematic dad who creates drama and will want a lot of money because he thinks he’s a star. I can totally see Clips fans being super annoyed with him the moment he lands on this team.

Thoughts on the roadtrip:

I think it is the perfect opportunity for players to build up their confidence or get playing minutes. They should just go out there and ball their eyes out! Most people expect us to loose, anything else will be a positive.

If we loose many games we will drop out of the spotlight but we will be very dangerous when Kawhi, PG and Bev are back.

I am hoping that we will gain a rotation player or two (at least for the regualar season).

Reggie stepped up in this first game, who will be next?

No happy with 2Pat, Fi and Oturu never playing. That is 3 roster spots!

With Kyle Lowry’s looming free agency, would like to have your thoughts on a possible trade for him, if he would be interested in rejoining Kawhi & Serge with the Clippers. Of course with a guarantee he will resign with the Clippers after his free agency. Maybe Morris/PatBev for Kyle or Morris/LouWill/Kennard for Kyle?
