Maybe the reason why the young guys aren’t performing better is due to Lue refusing to play them at least 5 mins a game. An prime example is Moussa. Lue refused to give him a shot. Lue could have paired him with Zu as the power forward. But nope, Moussa just wasn’t good enough for Lue.

Players do not get better unless they play against better competition. If they prove to be unplayable, you cut them. What’s the point of the G-League if you never bring these kids up to the big leagues?

Lue is coaching like he wants to be fired, so that he can collect his retirement package.

Frank has made some good moves during his tenure. He brought in Powell and Covington. It took Lue forever to use Powell properly, and we all know that he screwed over Covington. But this year has been completely screwed up. Lopez? He was paired with the Greek Freak. Of course, he’ll look ok. Wall and Beal are to me the same thing. 2 players with bad injury histories. Did Frank make those acquisitions because of pressure from PG13 (Wall), No Show Leonard, and Lue? I don’t know. Frank decided to go “all out geriatric” this year. Was this his vision, or was it a case of giving Lue what he wanted? I don’t know. Either he has very poor vision, or he’s spineless to stand up to Lue. Who decided to sign Lue to an extension? Frank? Ballmer?

The Clippers need a revamp. A completely new vision. A 3 to 5 year plan because OKC is getting beaten until their player contracts become a problem.

There’s always a sucker owner who will overpay if they believe a player, like No Show Leonard, will put them over the top.

Does anyone know what happened to Trentyn Flowers? I thought it was a mistake getting rid of him.

From a general body language read, Harden appeared to me, for the first time, to have that look on his face he had in Philly when things started to go sour. He looked like he was having fun on the road trip. He doesn’t look like he has been having fun over the past week. I don’t think he has been vibing with Kawhi since he got back. He might not be vibing with Lue. I can’t really blame James. Statistically he’s having a season for the ages, and he might just like the idea of being the top dog in LA running a team with his crew. The injuries to DJJ, Bogi and Miller have really hurt because we showed some offensive juice when they were able to be in the rotation.

Maybe what James would like to see is for Management to trade Kawhi, get some added depth in return, get his injured boyz back and just roll from there and lead the team. That might actually be fun to watch if we get Bogi, Miller back and commit to playing them in the rotation.

1. Sort out the firings of Ty and/or Frank and find replacements. Not gonna rehash all their failures (y’all already know), but both have failed at various points in time to varying degrees – at least one, but probably both, should be gone. Van Gundy or Shaw for interim HC is easy, but I dunno who would step up in the FO.

2. Shop everyone, starting w/ Kawhi and Harden, and probably Zu unfortunately. To be clear, I don’t want to trade Zu, and I don’t think it’s urgent to ship him out now, but we don’t have the picks or young players to be competitive again while Zu’s still good and he’d get us the best return in a trade. If we get a good offer for him, then we need to let him go. As for Kawhi and Harden, I don’t think I need to give any more explanation than what we’ve all seen. In terms of what we need/want in a trade is also simple – young, promising players, draft assets, and expiring deals. Anything/anyone that doesn’t fit those descriptions is unneeded for this franchise right now.

Dark times ahead, but at least it finally looks like Ballmer realizes we need real change. This Kawhi/George/Harden era will go down as more disappointing than Lob City for me, but I will always cherish the memory of that WCF at least.

He’s now #2 in most turnovers per game in clutch situations (ignoring players with only one clutch game).
