Here’s a trade idea, far from perfect, but it might actually be beneficial to both parties. The Timberwolves are top heavy and don’t have much of a bench. Rose, Morris & Amir Coffey plus all the picks we can muster for D’Angelo Russell. His stock is low but his ceiling is high. It’s a gamble. Timberwolves do it because Morris stretches the floor for Gobert. Amir Coffey has potential that is being overlooked by us (OR have we been keeping an asset on a quality contract from injury? ) and Wall..not a floor stretcher by any means…gets to play freely off the bench with little in the way of competition. Even then I don’t know if we have enough assets, but the Timberwolves do need a shake up.

How to tinker w/the Clips to get them championship ready?

My perfect world: Trade Wall, Covington and either Powell or Morris + a 2nd round pick (maybe 2) in a swap with ATL and Washington and land Clint Capela and Kyle Kuzma.

Clips get the backup center, the mini Paul George, size, defense, shot blocking. No more playing small.

I believe in Morris more than I do Powell, but Powell is younger and has more years on his contract, and I think Powell might be better optimized when surrounded by bigger, athletic players. If you were to pair Powell in a lineup with the savvy Kuzma, Capela, Mann, Kennard/Batum, that could light up the Crypt.

It needs to be said that Scott Foster was pretty much in the tank for the Cs (as were the replay refs). Pretty clear on that last foul call against Powell that Smart pushed Powell in the chest first causing Powell to grab his hand to get it away from him.
