The Clippers are the best team in the as of right now. It could change due to injuries, but they are at the top right now.

This Clipper team is smooth. They have a flow.

Can they ace the road trip? It could happen.

It is. After these last 3 games, I’d bet on a top2 seed. Because we haven’t skipped a beat without Zu and our depth has convinced me. Harden consistently is creating great offense. There’s too much firepower and shooting, too much defensive talent, the effort is good enough. Too much stability. As long as we’re halfway healthy, I think the only way we don’t end up top2 is losing at least 4 of the 5 remaining games vs Denver, OKC and the Wolves. Which I don’t see happening

Went to the UCLA v USC game and missed watching this one live but I followed it on the NBA app. We had a ton of dunks today and the defense was excellent. Cs raised the white flag early. Minnesota also lost to SAS, as the Spurs finally played through Wemby in crunch time and got the W. Clips now tied with Minnesota in the loss column, 1 game behind OKC in the loss column, and only 1.5 games out of first place while remaining 1/1000th of a percentage point ahead of Denver. Clips have a 5/6 game lead in the loss column over Phx/N.O. Things are slowly shifting in the Western Conference. If the Clips go win in Cleveland on Monday, the pathway to the #1 seed is right there for them.

The only acceptable explanation is 1. This Clips team is really good, and 2. The Celtics had a phenomenally bad night. Simple as that. Any of that other noise about the C’s being fatigued (we were on the 2nd night of B2B), Porzingis being out (we’re missing Zu), and whatever else is just BS the sporting media wants to spin.

Which…actually I’m fine with. I like it when we don’t have the spotlight on us. I hope the media keeps talking about Doc and the Bucks, or Jokic v. Embiid, or whatever stupid topic people want to argue about so we can keep a low profile and then win a ring – there’ll be plenty of time to get loud and obnoxious after that.

I think too many folks are making excuses for the Celtics tonight. It was our defense that took them apart not just an off game or fatigue. I’ve been watching this league for the better part of 40 years and this team might have the best combination of offensive firepower and defense I can recall. We are definitely on a level offensively like the Hampton Warriors. We may not have quite peaked to that level yet but we will.
