Good teams they might. They need to find suitable rotations for it though. I think these 4 games missing PG or Kawhi have provided some information, now it’s time to tweak and take the next step as a team.

Great teams playing well, they don’t beat those without Kawhi, no.

But the ? remains: can this team beat good teams without Kawhi? What Kawhi brings as much as anything is smart, disciplined play on both ends. That play actually does “rub off” on the other guys. Can they learn to play that way without him? A tall order.

This. It’s the main reason playing Coffey alongside Mann isn’t working. You could do Norm for spacing and offense or Russ for rebounding, leadership and more physicality. Staggering Coffey with Mann is the easiest way, otherwise we need a bigger adjustment to our playing style when not healthy

Looking at this, 100% the right decision to sit Kawhi. And while everything we miss without him showed (defense, rebounding, scoring, spacing, lower turnovers with the starters, defensive rotations, a guy to guard Tatum), this Boston team – without KP – looked like probably too much for us even with KL. At least when both Mann and Russ are totally off. Russ got it together in the second half but the game was over, he just helped to not lose by 50. Mann seems to miss confidence in addition to shots.

Loved our early effort. Hated the turnovers. Struggles to get a rebound, a couple of defensive lapses (by Harden), undisciplined with regards to fouling. Cs knocking down their 3s and a pretty rough whistle blew the game open very early.

Alright to lose this one, too. Now back to winning vs Memphis and Charlotte. After that we have a critical stretch with big games until mid-January.

I was expecting losses to both OKC and Boston, but I wasn’t expecting the losses to be *this* bad. Well, if nothing else I feel like this game and the OKC game show that yes, we still actually need a legitimate PF (if only we could’ve kept one of RoCo and Batum…). This team needs more athleticism and size – the team playing better lately hasn’t changed that.
