Wouldn’t a younger Levert on a multi-year deal have more trade value than Dipo? I figured Houston wants to still make the playoffs and thinks of Dipo as a piece to bring back.

I get that there’s downside to Dipo potentially leaving or not being worth his next contract, but if you’re Houston you’d take Dipo for the rest of this year & take your chances w/ him next summer over Lou/Fi for the rest of this year, having to pay Pat Bev 14M next season, and some second rounders.

I don’t see a realistic offer from LAC that Houston should entertain.

On paper, he could be the 3rd star of the Clippers. At his best, he can be borderline All-Star combo guard and even primary ballhandler of this team. But there is a feeling that his best years are behind him.
