Good point about the exchange of a mid range shot for more 3 point volume. I’ve also heard Kennard’s defense has been impressive this year. Fellow fan mentioned it to me at work yesterday. I’m not panicking or anything, just to clarify. I’m satisfied with what I’ve seen from both players this year the little I’ve been able to watch. (Truth be told I’ve been bad luck and it seems when I’m able to tune in we lose) I appreciate the in-depth response.

Not so worried about PG13’s minutes as kawhi obviously , but if you think we’re gonna have a loss from a back to back , fully commit and just rest him and other guys.
I don’t care if the canoes loose by 50, a loss is a loss.
Guys rested and canoes getting reps in a loss is > then our vets getting drained and no reps for canoes imo

Yeah prolly have to resign birdrights serge or lose him for nothing , unless we flip him for another player with couple years on there contract remaining. Hart already deserves the money that batum let us keep which was given to winslow(not deserving) and the rookies (TBD)
Bledsoe already looking like he fits the mold of this team and will definitly be under contract next year as long as we don’t find an even better upgrade at pg. but imo bled is pretty perfect for us especially when kawhi comes back(whether that’s this year or next?) but bled fits well because of his skill sets and the fact that we will never be able to afford a max contract pg with kawhi and PG13’s money owed.
Out of the middle tier pg”s out there making 20mil or less
Bledsoe’s 2way play, strong frame, and pretty mellow personality( lockeroom wise) I’m quite happy with his aquisition!
Mooks money seems like the odd man out right now, (while I value his billy hard nose defense shots when falling and his veteran leadership if we had to trim some fat(right now) I’d say Morris is the guy. Serge is on the verge of being a luxury as well with Harts energy and play. I’ll give some more time to see what serge can do when gets back to playing a bunch a games before I decide if hart is better for the team or not.
Problem is we don’t have a first rounder this year. Maybe next year when he have our pick on draft night we can flip Morris and a the pick for a player to keep bridging our roster with restricted options due to being over the cap, tax paying etc.

If Ty was so remorseful in playing PG so many minutes of a back to back, those minutes should have been scaled back or sit him and let the canoes take over. Granted they are more thin than last year, but it should be ok to take a scheduled loss. Hopefully, he learns from this.

What you saw last nite was a 2 star team beating a one star team. Not surprising at all. We may have given them a better game with a bit of rest but LeVine and DDR are asassins. And of course Vuc, when available, is in a different league from our big guys.

Re: Luke, he’s shooting 44% from 3 (not sure if that counts tonight, if not, then like 43.5%). That is elite. What has changed is that he’s taking by far the least number of midrange shots, which I think is a good thing. Last year 54% of his shots were from 3-pt range. This year that value is over 70%. Sure the number of layups has also gone down, but with Bled and Hart in the mix, it’s not that surprising Luke is not getting to the rim at the rate of last season. But let’s not pretend his having a bad year, he’s still over 60% TS%. He’ll have off games, but he’s been shooting great.

Mann was DNP 2020-2021 regular season. We’ll that’s harsh, but I mean he was in and out of the rotation, sometimes playing like less than 10 minutes a game. To say he’s regressed is crazy. Has he taken another huge step forward in his development? I’d say no, but even showing he’s capable of big regular season minutes is progress. Though this is only year 3, he is 25, so this might just be who he is, which is a pretty serviceable player.

Regarding after Ibaka expires, he was signed using the non-taxpayer MLE. The Clippers are not going to be non-taxpayers anytime soon, so no they can’t use that again. So they’ll have the taxpayer MLE again.

So will be interesting if they keep Ibaka, given they can keep him using early bird rights, but can’t use that money for anyone else. Also have to bring back Batum, and maybe Hartenstein (if they can). Lot of season left before they have to make those decisions though.

Ibaka had 21/10/5 in the G-League win over the Kings today.

He came back and his shot looked broken. He shot well today in the G-league, wonder if that’s enough to come back to the big club. Hart has been so good (not that great today), but a good Ibaka’s ability to stretch the floor would make things really interesting. And at least until Marcus gets back, I really could see them sharing the floor for periods.

Back to back energy expected.
But imo Reggie chucked us out the game, pg13 took a couple bad ones as well. I kept thinking “if Reggie would just realize he’s cold from shooting especially from three point land , why can’t he just drive more to the hoop or fake more of those cold threes to find an open man somewhere else. Imo of the bad shots(Reggie chucks, pg13 three point heaves(a couple were unnecesssary ) then I think the clippers could of made it a closer loss or maybe even tight win?
On to the next one!
Also before I forget, WTH is going on with serge? The guy out forever comes back has a pitiful game and now has been out again since?
If he expires do we get another 9mil mle? I have no faith serge comes back anytime soon.
