Man, the previous Clippers team would've beaten the Nuggets if Trez had opted out and/or Doc realized at some point that it was probably a bad idea to force feed him minutes against Jokic.

while I think I’ve been overly critical of the Clips, I think I’m pretty high on them being a contender. Nic Batum looks like the real deal and could be the kind of piece they were missing. Serge looks like everything he was billed to be. Kawhi has been just average, by his standards.

I’m not sure they’re the favorite, but I think they’re significantly better than they were last season. The Clippers team now, would’ve beaten the Nuggets, and I think the Lakers too last season. The big question is how much better have the Lakers and Bucks gotten this season. I’m still not sure. Lakers look mediocre so far, people seem to think they’re just taking it slow. I still think it was a big gamble to retool almost their whole roster, so may just take some time to work out the kinks.

I think ud agree that mucho credit should be given the FO for properly
1) evaluating Nic’s present skill level and
2) patiently awaiting the Hayward/Charlotte events to play out and then making the move

The Lakers this week? Lost to the Spurs and only beat the Bulls because LaVine missed a look at the buzzer.

I’m still in proceed with caution mode. For all of our wonderful bells and whistles there’s inconsistent play from top to bottom. This is not what champions look like. If we’re still squandering 20 point leads and barley beating lottery teams after a couple more weeks the FO is going to have too act.

Yup, we have what like 6 guys shooting 40%+? Pretty remarkable run so far and unsustainable. At the same time, guys are getting consistent good looks so it doesn’t feel as fluky. It’s also an antidote to the lack of FTA. Let ‘em fly, team!
