Scrubb looked like a solid 2nd year player, but I’m not looking too far into this performance. Still wasn’t always happy with a lot of the shot selection, but at least they were going in.

Coffey and Oturu look more and more like they won’t be back on the roster given the roster constraints. Oturu looked much better in the 2nd half, but still nothing stood out to me like an improvement over what we saw last year.

As for the 3 rookies, maybe a few flashes, but wish we would’ve seen more from them. Big thing for me is felt like Scrubb was the only guy that could get past his man to break down a defense. Keon and Preston I wish I saw more of them being able to break down the defense in the half court, or at least get out in transition more often. Definitely felt like a lot of passing the ball around the perimeter. Guys like Mann and Shai impressed me in summer league when it felt like they could get anywhere on the court they wanted. Did not feel that with these rookies. Boston might’ve been the best in that regard, and he hit some nice corner 3’s which will be important. I thought Keon did a good job of knowing when he was open from 3 and not hesitating taking those. Maybe it was just a bad night shooting, but he was never billed as a solid shooter,
