I have a feeling that Mann will be shipped out in the next trade that’s coming, whenever that happens. Kennard is clearly the keeper between the two in my opinion.

I think Mann is going to be the guy left out of the rotation or see his playing time greatly reduced. He just doesn’t bring anything to Clips offensively to justify him playing over Luke.

Balmer: “You mean I’m paying millions more in lux tax for this? Bet we would have won this if we’d done nothing.
Frank/West/Winger: Just have some patience boss, we’ll figure it out. Just got some new guys, jettisoned guys, these things take time.
Ballmer: I’m already missing Justise.”
Well, it’s his money and his team, so he’s entitled. But my beefs with Ty. Seems like everytime we doubled they got a WIDE OPEN 3 and hit a bunch to bury us. Stay with your man and offer some resistance — any resistance, not fake hustle — can’t gamble vs. the best team out there.
Hart and Coffey (everything was short) looked really bad, as tho they shrank given the challenge. Gotta step up boys.
Powell was everything promised, except size. As Chog says, he’s a major Bled upgrade. Guy did NOT shrink to this challenge and only his first effing game. A polished, smooth offensive machine who knows how to draw fouls. Thot RoCo was just OK. Has range, is a disrupter but was invisible on a few defensive plays.
When it comes down to it, the clips are a jump shooting team and when shots don’t fall, we get games like this.

Morris is either hot or cold. He just isn’t steady. So if the Clips trade him then I am fine with Batum and Covington in his slot. Mann, Kennard, and Coffey need to stop passing up their shots and passing off to Morris and Reggie. All 3 need to be more aggressive shooting the ball when they are on the floor with Marcus and Reggie.

Felt the Clips played well enough they could’ve played against almost anyone. Too bad the Bucks had one of their best shooting night of the season. Especially when you consider their starters went 16/27 from 3 point range (59%).

You get these kind of nights against opponents, and if anything, the Clips are lucky it came against the Bucks, rather than against the Lakers or someone you’re competing with for seeding.

But the Bucks aren’t just any team obviously. For all the romance surrounding the return of the Warriors and the Suns gaudy record I’ve never for a moment thought anyone was going to win the title this year other than the Bucks. Roster for roster they are as good as anyone and Giannis is in a league of his own. I expect them to have the best record in the East and make relatively short work of either the Suns or the Warriors in the finals. I think they play the Suns in Phoenix this Thursday and will remind everyone who’s boss in this league.

Not to mention Pat Conaughton randomly catching fire and burying us in 3’s in that one stretch.

I expect the starting lineup to eventually shift to Reggie/Powell/Coffey/MM/Zu, w/ Mann, Luke, Batum, and RoCo getting the majority of the bench minutes.

Norm Powell was everything we were hoping for and then some tonight. This offensive production is obviously unsustainable, but he’s a dynamic scorer from all 3 levels – Norm’s like Bledsoe but with a consistent jumper.

Also hopefully as Norm gets more time w/ Reggie, we’ll be less reliant on Reggie to attempt to bail us out and so we’ll get less variance – because of how big a burden Reggie’s often asked to shoulder, some nights we get BIG GOVERNMENT destroying the Lakers, and some nights we get Detroit Reggie.

RoCo does not look washed at all – he made a ton of unstatable and glue guy plays while he was out there tonight. He’s obviously not always gonna shoot this well, but the defense is definitely still there – dude just knows where to position himself defensively, seemingly on every play.

The Serge/Hart situation feels weird, because Hart’s actually looked…not great recently. And I’m not even talking offensively – he’s had some pretty bad defensive/rebounding lapses lately. Hard for me to tell how much of this is the Clips showcasing Serge before the trade deadline, and how much of it is Hart just going through a slump.

Mann def looked like he was trying to play backup PG tonight, and he was…mostly fine on that end. Didn’t see him make any horrible mistakes or anything, but I think it made him more hesitant to look for his own shot.

Tough loss, but looking forward to seeing how good this team can become as Ty has more time to tinker, and hopefully we can steal one or two of the next few games.
