His ball-handling is nowhere near Rose or Kyrie. He’s much closer to his baby-LeBron nickname. Seems like he’s getting close to LeBron’s 3pt shooting as well.

I remember when Bled was with the Clips the 1st time around, I called him Derrick Rose light. Some nights the layup package he got is crazy. Everything going in, acrobatic floaters, scoops under the basket, and he looks like prime Rose or Kyrie. Other nights, all those chip shots are rimming out and it’s super frustrating.

I don’t think his game has changed all that much. He seems more confident with the ball and more decisive, but I think his offense will still kind of come and go. I think that is a scary proposition if you’re going to be relying on him in the playoffs, and I think that’s why Milwaukee kind of soured on him. Hopefully like tonight we don’t see this team relying on him to be a scorer. Getting point from Bled is a luxury, but if he’s not going, hopefully we can get more consistent points on the board from like Kennard, Morris, Mann, and Reggie. Ideally we see like 6 guys behind PG averaging 10-15 points a game

Good to great win with a major bonus of sitting PG in the 4th–that’s big right there. But we have the Blazers and Chauncey to thank. Brick city to the max and they really crumbled. They can’t be this bad can they? (We’ll see Friday)
Randoms:
–PG giveth and taketh away. Career steals and career dumb ass plays. Get your head on straight dude.
–Winslow and Bledsoe are crappy shooters. Bledsoe has nice form and should be in the gym right now. Many were short so fixable. Get Winslow a shooting instructor and just start over. He has some utility now tho–good size and good effort.
–Hart is so fun to watch. Young, bouncy, pass first and just deadly on those floaters. Got to hand it to Chog for touting this guy up the wazzoo. Good eye Chog.
–Mann and Luke are just downright ballers. Mann is so crafty and his motor is deluxe high octane. Luke is our best shooter right now. Teams will try to limit him.
–Reggie—ouch–shooting like that’ll cost us vs. more disciplined teams
–Nic—didn’t score much but really set the tone defensively–was all over the place. Need to see his 3 ball go down and then watch out
Above all, the game gave the guys a much needed confidence injection. Run with it.

what’s weird is after last playoffs, I’m almost confident Reggie can extend his range out to that Dame/Steph territory. Would at least add an interesting wrinkle to the offense if he can. I mean we see superstars have the green light to take those shots, but if a role player like Reggie is at least a threat out there, what could that do to open up the floor for like PG, Bledsoe, and Mann.

1st Nuke Kennard appearance of the season! Our bench unit of Kennard, Mann, and Hartenstein has been great early on – couple more games like these and we’ll have to start coming up w/ nicknames again (A Tribe Called Bench is probably my favorite).

Bledsoe and Reggie both had some reckless moments today – Bledsoe driving outta control, and Reggie jacking up Dame/Steph-distance 3’s – ultimately it didn’t matter, and I expect they’ll tighten it up going forward.

PG13 keeping up the MVPG season. Dude has been locked in from the get-go this season.

Zu/Hart has been a fun rotation. Zu finally had what I’d call a “good” game – he did a good job of boxing out Nurk/Nance, and had some good finishes around the rim. Plus I didn’t see him drop any easy ones. Hart is more mobile than Zu, and more creative offensively, but sometimes tries to get too cute w/ passes instead of just making the easy read. Also he’s gonna need to cut down on his Dwight Howard-ian foul rate. Glad we don’t need to rush Serge back.

MM – we all speculated that his knee wasn’t healthy, and it was blatantly obvious from games 1-2. Glad he’s getting some rest, and there’s no point in rushing him back, as Justise/Batum should be able to hold down the fort in the meantime.

Also great to see Boston getting his first NBA bucket. And the more minutes we get for Scrubb the better (because it probably means we’re winning the game lol) – though he had some seriously ugly misses out there in garbage time. I had hoped we’d see some KJ garbage time, but based on the preseason he should prob spend the year in the G-League just to get proper seasoning.

Great win, and I hope we aren’t overlooking Cleveland on Wednesday – their frontline has been really good this year. I don’t think the Cavs will be an easy outing.

Hartenstein is playing great! It’s a shame he’ll lose minutes when Serge is back, but with Ty Lue you never know. Serge or Zu might get DNP-CD if Hartenstein is the better match up on some nights.

Bledsoe’s defense has been great. It’s scary to imagine a suffocating lineup of Bledsoe, PG, Kawhi, Batum, and Zu.

Good win. Just wish the record was better but at least they don’t look dreadful. Mook should sit out as long as it takes to heal up or when we move him. I trust Winslow could fill those minutes.

Next opponent is Cleveland which could be challenging because they beat Atlanta and Denver past 2 games.
