I made an account just to say that a lot of your takes are just… wrong. I mean at what point do you stop blaming everyone else but the players themselves? Maybe, just maybe, these players are just not THAT good. Mann is a historic 10 ppg scorer who gets by on his one game in the WCF, coffee is a journey man, and Zu is extremely inconsistent. I’m not saying Lue is a saint but the FO really screwed the pooch with the roster construction.

This team is horrible. I think deep down we’re all just waiting for the team to finally be blown up and rebuilt, because this current roster is just a waste of time.

Just watching the team across the hall vs Indiana and also watched Q4 of the GSW v Minnesota game. The difference in effort level and seriousness vs how the Clippers have played since the end of January is palpable. The thing I’ll say about the team across the hall is that under Darvin Ham guys like D-Lo and Reaves have really been empowered. Ham can be faulted for not playing Rui enough minutes but there’s no question that he has really thrived in a LAL uniform. In the Lue era we haven’t let Coffey/Mann/Zu really shine. Looking at the way Austin Reaves is playing right now and I can see the Lakers making a real run b/c he is empowered to look for his shot and to get into his bag. His court vision when he senses the defense collapsing on him is very impressive. He is a multiplier effect on the floor. Yes, he has his well documented liabilities defensively (as is D-Lo), but both he and D-Lo are serious weapons on offense. You need that in the postseason.

If we’re not empowering Zu/Mann/Coffey to be double digit scorers, we’re going to find it difficult to win playoff games. I have confidence in all 3 players, but I don’t think the big 3 and Lue have approached their usage rates in the right way. Norm’s effectiveness sort of covers up those deficiencies, but the other 3 have better 2 way capability than Norm and won’t be played off the court if they’re in rhythm offensively.

What’s starting to scare me is that they actually may really give AF and are powerless to do anything about it. They have Siakam, Halliburton and Turner tomorrow night so I’m not holding my breath. Philly should be able to replicate this on Wednesday and Orlando is too good to lose at home to this raggedy bunch. I expect to be in the 6 seed by the end of this stretch unless they can prove tomorrow night that this is all just about effort. If they can stop the bleeding the Pelicans also have a pretty rough stretch coming up to where we might fend them off.

Last point. The worst part of rooting for this team is watching them get down double digits and then sauntering up the floor with zero sense of urgency. If we don’t have some crazy Heat-type playoff run then I can’t wait to blow this up once and for all. Everyone should be available for trade this summer even Kawhi if the price is right.

I’m upset at the complete meltdown in the 4th quarter. But, Coach K does bring some perspective — we need our three geezer All Stars to be healthy for the Playoffs.

Seriously, just make the top six. We’re going to have to play great teams. We are in the West. Home court is not as important to us. Being healthy is the only factor to advancing.

If we can’t beat Denver in a 7-game series, nothing else matters.

Without our 3 stars healthy, we don’t beat Denver, OKC, Minny or anyone else.

I also do like others bringing up the ball, but I think those others should mainly be T-Mann and Russ (when he returns tomorrow) and not Kawhi/PG.

Allowed 7 makes in Q1, including 3 or 4 from the short corner. Take 3 or 4 of those away with more attention to detail and we probably win the game.
