Between the Donaghy scandal, the various rules changes and foul baiting, and now this, it looks to me like the NBA is leaning more and more into the “drama” angle and less into the actual quality of basketball. I’m not sure where the balance is, but at some point it’s gonna shift too hard towards WWE for me to put up with…

Silver mite be a worse Commissioner than David Stern. We all know that it is a great benefit to the league when the Lakers are good but gifting the Lakers their next superstar in secret (not telling the other 29 NBA teams that Doncic was available) just adds jet fuel that to the conspiracy theorists that claim the NBA is rigged.

And to be honest, I think the the conspiracy theorists might be right. With pro sports partnering with gambling and their main goal being money and power, I guess we should ask ourselves why this trade is a surprise?
