The Reggie-Wall backcourt in Q4 allowed PG to come off screens and get more space at the top of the key. He was very efficient and is getting his points without having to work as hard. This was really the first time Wall made a meaningful impact on the game. He didn’t do a very good job leading the 2nd unit but he was a very good fit with Reggie, Zu, PG. He attacked the defense well with pace and owned the middle of the court. I think the reason for that is the defense has to pay attention to PG, Morris, Reggie and Zu and that gives Wall more space to find his lines and angles of attack. He just has more space.

The Clips had a more effective PnR game, and really owned the paint on offense. That’s where this team is different from prior years. When Kawhi gets back, the Clips are gonna dominate this league.

Clips really need to sort out the 2nd unit. Wall isn’t comfortable running the point yet. Makes a lot of bad shots and is erratic. I’d try putting Wall on the wing as an attacker and let T-Mann handle the ball to get into the offense. Big test coming v Utah.

My theory is that the team takes too long to get into their offense allowing the opponent to get set on defense. Similarly, these last handful of teams have all been a bunch of young guys. Clips may be weak to young quick teams.

I don’t mind Brown not playing since I think he stinks.
