But imo warriors are a somewhat loyal organization and can’t see them trading Klay even with his injury and everything he’s done for that organization. Klay and steph
Are the epitome of being a warrior. Stranger things have happened and I do think push comes to shove that the dubs would side with making steph happy over Klay, however that comes with repercussions on the franchise like when we traded blake. Obviously was a little worse look on our part because of the whole telling blake he was a clipper for life b.s. lol but you get what I am saying.
Also I dont that package is enough. ID take wiseman in a heartbeat , he’s gonna be a stud but torn up Klay and late first rounders?

I always assumed it was Lou, Trez, and maybe even PatBev.

I always thought PatBev and Lou though were comfortable in their roles. They’re vets in the league and know what their role is. Trez was always the question mark to me. Coming off the bench, seemingly brushing aside the pick&roll game that was so successful.

But I still wonder how comfortable Lou and Pat are with Kawhi and PG. Lou and Pat are still the only remaining “stars” of this team that made the playoffs and battled the Warriors. I would think they see the potential for this team and would just do whatever is asked of them, but that’s easy to say, and sometimes much harder to play a smaller role, be asked to take less shots, or play less minutes, especially if it doesn’t seem to be resulting in more success for the team.

I really hope Trez was the main problem, and we can move on with the guys still here, establish a new culture with Ty Lue, and play team basketball at a higher level than the sum of it’s parts. Because it sure didn’t feel like they did that last year outside of like a few games before the shutdown.

That said, I think Trez was disruptive all season. The article goes into how players resented teammates who seemed to be playing for their next contract. There was clearly a lot of dysfunction behind the scenes.

The eye test felt the same that he had the ball plenty in his preferred spots. I doubt Doc told him to take all those pull up 3s early in the shot clock and those open looks on corner 3s out of those JJ/RayRay plays were good ones.

Maybe Klay plays 65%-70% like his old self in 2 years? They could give him all the time in the world, where as the Warriors have win now pressure. Before he ever even laces up their young prospects have absorbed the wisdom from the sidelines of a 3 time champion who drops the knowledge, but isn’t so good that they don’t keep acquiring draft picks?

Pending health, they’ll be much better with Russ than with Wall.. For all of Russ’ flaws, you can’t knock his energy & that alone makes a huge difference
