It was strange to me that no one had any interest up until now. I guess Miami but like I’ve posted before it’s always Miami and Lakers that every player is rumored to be getting traded to or signing with. I even saw some rag trying to claim that the Lakers had intervened and are now going to sign Boogie away from us. It will never end.

Doesn’t seem like the Clips would be bringing him in as the “savior” as he has been seen in previous stops. Definitely not going to stop anyone on defense, but hopefully can put the ball in the basket enough to play a few minutes when the Clips don’t have anyone healthy.

Sounds like Marc Gasol might not be happy with the Drummond pickup and demotion to the bench. Hope he asks for a buyout. Would at a minimum be a great tutor for Zu. Although if Drummond’s injury is going to keep him out for any significant time, it may not matter.

Those guys picked teams where they’re gonna get more defined roles. Nets have shell of himself DJ and claxton is really nice but just in his second season.
Lakers needed a starting center (enter Drummond)
None of those guys were taking Zu or ibakas spots but I’m sure the clippers waited patiently to see if any of them wanted to be third string, (due dilllegence)
Cousins is perfect for the third string , less pressure , use him i. Certain situations when needed,
He’s just another weapon that can do different things.
I bet if Aldridge and Drummond were not bought out
Cousins would already be on those other teams and the narrative would be clippers lost out. I’m actually surprised Miami who missed on Aldridge and Drummond didn’t land cousins they were rumored to have interest .
I my self don’t see Miami getting out the East at ALL. Not past nets or bucks , and depending on there 1st round matchup I can see them ousted in round 1. They had a great season last year I’m not taking that away from them.
I think they got lucky at the right time in the bubble last year and overachieved imo.

Seeing him in practice may help a bit but all eyes are gonna be on this guy. But, with all his serious injuries, bouncing around and the off court ex wife threat, I’d say this guy is purely stop gap and to fulfill league minimum rules. For me, I liked what I saw in springy Damian Jones as a 3rd stringer.
