Lawrence Frank is the primary problem. He can’t get drafting and development right. Its amazing that the entire league is full of guys 6’7-6’9 that can shoot, are athletic and play defense but he can’t scout or draft 1. Ty Lue uses his sample size drama to hide his indecisiveness then continues to play the wrong guys hoping to strike gold. The 3-1 comeback vs the warriors was a fluke. Real coaching requires real decisions. Mix some of the youth with the vets so that they will be ready come playoffs, Coffey, Bones, KB all need to be playing minutes for development G-league be damned. Zu needs to go see the wizard and get some heart I’m tired of the stupid Erkel look whenever he commits a foul, can’t catch a ball thrown directly to him or blows a layup. The process is the process and we are capable of playing better if we are put in the best position to win.

I read that Harden just realized he has to shoot when he catches the ball. about time. Theiis has always played well against the clips. he should be ok. I just hope the clippers can start winning.

…seriously though Ty is such a hack. Even MM had to volunteer to come off the bench for Batum before too. Combined w/ the fact that 90% of our offense is “give the ball to PG13/Kawhi/Russ/Harden and let them iso for 15 seconds, then if necessary throw a teammate under the bus by passing to them w/ 1 second left on the shot clock,” wtf does Ty even do? If we start winning a few games after this I’m sure the media will be back to calling him a genius again though.

great move by russ. don’t think he’s an X’s and O’s guy though. he’s a one man fast break when he’s at his best. so unselfish and wants to win. clips need him. but still should practice shooting. lol

Coach Russ provided the team a much needed intervention by assigning himself to the 2nd unit and promoting Terance Mann to the first unit. T-Mann is expected to start tonight. Russ saw how non-committal Lue was last season regarding Morris and how many games it cost us. He wasn’t willing to wait around for Lue to go another 10 games.

Coach Russ has fixed a few things with this move. First, he’s forced the Clippers to honor the promise the team made to T-Mann by giving him the starting spot. If this team is going anywhere this season, it will be with T-Mann getting the chance to elevate his game and become one of the anchors of the team.

Second, Russ’ move will probably end the losing streak and get the Clips back on track for the play in.

Third, Russia probably going to have some weight in the locker room to lobby for Kobe Brown to play real minutes and to have more segments on the floor with a big like Zu/Theis.

Fourth, Russ exposed what an inadequate coach Lue is. He made a decision when Lue dawdles, and one wonders whether Lue is more concerned about offending people in the basketball world who could hurt his personal interests than he is about doing what is right for the team.

Fifth, Russ’ move exposes management as feckless and unwilling to stand behind their vision for the team.

Make Russ the player-coach and assistant GM.

The Clippers’ season is likely salvaged, if not saved, with this move.
