Agreed, OKC will need to trade some of those picks to get the right mix of young stars and solid vets.

Will OKC ever be a dynasty team like the LineUp of Death Warriors?

Health is the 500 lb. gorilla in the room. Good wishes for all players, but Chet and Wemby seem a bit thin to take the beating from grown NBA players.

Amazed that Shai has grown to be such a great player. Would he have gotten the minutes to blossom in the Clippers franchise? Doc only played a rookie like Shai — he didn’t have any other players pre-213 era.

Increasingly off the Harden band wagon because I just see that as another complicated albatross next summer in terms of roster and the cap. We have a better team than last year that’s for sure but like I said we’re in tier 2. And that’s fine. If Russ has another triple double season and Kawhi and PG can stay healthy then we are right there.

As a general fan of the sport – who also walks through the dry valley of August/September thirsting for NBA basketball – this was awesome to read. I agree with critics that it’s on the wrong site. It’s not appreciated in the way it deserves to be (that’s not a criticism of other people having a different attitude/exclusively caring about the Clippers, it’s exactly what I said: the article is too well-written that it’s certainly deserving more praise than critical comments).

Fully agreed with your assessment. Okay, giving Wemby a run for ROY is probably a stretch but who knows. I absolutely love the competitive nature of Holmgren and wish he stays healthy and can unleash his full potential. If that happens, he’s gonna be a wildly entertaining player to watch.

Same is already true for Shai who should be a top 10-15 mainstay for many years to come. And Jaylen Williams was just a footnote here, another guy who could either become a star or one of the brightest stars in his role. Coaching, playing highly unselfish basketball as a unit, consistently competing hard and – fingers crossed – no bullshit as we’ve seen way too many times from their peers on some other teams.

IF you care to watch other teams, OKC will be one of the best to watch, whether it’s in order to see good, hard team basketball, individual talent, defense (they were surprisingly good without a dominant defensive anchor) or entertaining players. They’re gonna continue to beat any team that takes them lightly or doesn’t execute well. Which is how it should be.

If vegas and seattle end up getting teams , I could see OkC and pelicans getting shifted to the east.
On OkC, I believe they will win a chip one of these days and could be a dynasty type warriors team with their roster and 15,000 draft picks they own.
Jalen Williams is a dog, and also I believe guard Mann has yet to show what he can do with more leash. Only problem I see with OkC his having too much young depth
And picks, they’re gonna have to consolidate at some point, will they make the correct moves?
(Harden for Kevin Martin, and keeping serge over harden KD Russ core? Will they continue to make awesome picks with all there draft picks?
Lastly I think Chet gonna be a stud if healthy. It will be good to see young centers like Chet wemby Duren go at the emblid and jokers of the league. Soon enough us clippers fans are going to be clamoring for an updated future center/big for intuit dome.

If I had to do it all over again I’d still make the trade to go all in with Kawhi and PG. It was a worthy gamble at the time. It wouldn’t sting as much if we were to get one more run this year but so far the FO hasn’t shown they’re serious about that.
