Your comment nailed it. We can have manageable losses to mitigate the risk of our core players being injured especially if the Clippers wants to get into the playoffs. The past games showed that a fully focused and engaged Clippers can beat the best teams (Boston, Denver) in the league. The Clippers schedule right now is brutal and will wear out the best players. Let the youngsters get their experience and hopefully prepares them for the playoffs.

1, Another malicious scheduling by Silver and his cohorts.

In March alone – 3 losses came fr Zero rest days vs rested teams.
Two losses there had Clips leading by at least 15.
5 games in 7 days.
Clips got into their NO hotel around 3 am per Siemen.
Should hand this to the Silver mob.

2, Lue mentioned after the loss the players knew what they have to do and they gotta do it. Are the players not responding to Lue ? Has Lue lost it ?
No need to throw your players under the bus.
The buck stops with the coach.

4, Losing to Wolves despite a 20+ lead because one KL went down.

3, League schedulers.
Lue – he is him.
They are not the opposing teams anymore.

Just bizarre. Also: what happened to ‘clear and conclusive’ evidence to overturn calls? I found neither out-of-bounds call providing that.

LeBron was done with it. Threw the ball and then demonstratively walked around on defense. That sequence certainly had him completely checked out – despite the stakes of this game.

Can’t stand the Lakers but this was turrible for the sport

Went to the game. The technical difficulties and long challenges took the air out of that game. Lakers went into that loose ball/possession review only down -4 with 2 min left. They ended it down -7, a jump ball situation, and then the shot clock didn’t work. No one had any rhythm. Lakers losing A.D. made them much weaker, but Lebron still had a chance to win until the refs/clock messed it up.

I watched the ending (while doing chores, since it took 30 minutes to play the last 2 minutes!). TNT must be pi__ed.

So, the shot clock not working … whose responsibility is that? Who screwed up?

Anybody watching Warriors – Lakers? Interesting 4th quarter (granted, very little defense played but good back-and-forth offensively), review, challenge, insanely long review on a challenge, shot clock not starting 3 times in a row, technical timeout… Just embarrassing

pels are a really good team, and effort is off the charts. obviously they’re younger and it shows. but I think when healthy a 7 game series favors the clips. but there’s still a lot more games left.

Among the challenges in figuring out how regular season performance projects to the playoffs are things like this: injuries, the messed up NBA schedule, styles of play that are implemented during the course of a game to preserve longevity, different lineup combos, etc.

In my view, a healthy, rested Clippers team projects as a conference finals team. However, 2nd round or a 1st round exit are possible because of injury and Ty Lue’s coaching moves.

Definitely agree that we have a lot of winnable games coming up that I think we win depending on load management and the teams above us aren’t invincible and will lose some games so I am pretty confident we will stay in a top 4 position. Probably the warriors, mavs, or suns would be our best first rd matchup with their lack of d and rebounding so will be interesting we are all about the playoffs from top to bottom.

Don’t want to be a Pollyanna because we definitely have our warts. But other than the OKC game on the road there are plenty of reasonable caveats for each loss.

We all cringed at the schedule when it was released and here we are.
