Tough loss, but aren’t they all tough?

Apart from the Mavs game which is just better to erase from memory, all other 6 losses were winnable. Atlanta is fully excused as we were without KL, PG and Bev, but the other 5 were up for grabs.

BKN was kind of easier to swallow as the Nets went nuts in the 4th, which can happen. Jazz was after a strong hussle to get back into the game which we nearly did. The Spurs and Warriors we slipped away and those were the most disappointing to me.

This one is tough to judge. It looked like we had it under colntrol, but Boston outhussled us in the second half. I think they were more desparate to get a Win and we were gassed after the long trip, which Lucas had predicted here.

I know we’d rather have Lou from 2 years ago than Lou right now, but Lou right now is still better at filling this void than Rose is right now.

If it’s really bone edema it will be a few weeks at least. Thankfully it’s just a tie because if it were his ankle or shin it could be season ending. Like you said we’ll have to wait. What a difference a day makes. Prior to the PG injury the focus was on swinging for the fences to get the top seed. But now we’re in survival mode so the calculus is much different and we don’t have the luxury of moving viable rotation pieces for upgrades. Suddenly Zu and Luke become rather in-expendable because they know the system and their roles so we can only hope these youngsters get better now while PG is out. In the interim we just need to do better than tread water and win like two thirds of our games and fall no lower than the five seed. This is still an incredibly deep team so not worried about anything other than where the scoring punch comes from. Teams will double Kawhi so we need someone else to punish them for it. Lou two years ago would be ideal. Not sure we have that person on board right now so perhaps there’s a minor trade we could make to fill this void. Derrick Rose? Don’t all jump on me at once for suggesting this:-)

Definitely gonna miss PG scoring and play-making while he’s out but hopefully this weak schedule would build up the confidence to the rest of the squad outside of Kawhi.

Kawhi, on his part, has to be more of a leader and utilize his teammates more other than going iso or going against double teams.
