Glad to see Xavier Moon sign again. He played at Morehead State in Kentucky, the U where I taught for 30 years up to 2020.

I think the Clippers see Moon as a coach on the floor for their G-League team. He knows the system. He has good character. He has experience. I’m glad he is staying.

It seems to me like a case of just securing the better of two players. Preston vs Moon. Which one would you go with? We’ve obviously needed to get rid of some garbage for beyond a season now. Not sure a steadying hand for the Aqua Caliente clippers who also serves as a 4th/3rd point guard option behind Russ, Bones & possibly Mann is the sign that we are on the verge of something big. If there is something hopefully whatever the move is doesn’t jettison Bones, because you can be damned sure it’s not Westbrook who is going anywhere. At least not until the trade deadline, and that’s in the unfortunate timeline where his stock plummets again. But yeah, after watching the Gordon debacle I’m done with the whole “FO has something major up their sleeve” none sense.

Because, as Robt. says, the FO is seeing chess moves in advance. They see Harden coming and us shedding players in the transaction. Moon may then comin in handy.

I mean, better how exactly? Because he’s a more consistent shooter, but probably worse defensively and not as much of a FT merchant. But I guess his contract is expiring? I could get behind an “all-expiring” team, since we’re about to leave the Crypt and because I have zero expectations for this season, and at this point am fully on board w/ the “wipe the slate completely clean once Intuit is built” strategy.
