Frank Mason III was just waived by Miluakee. He’s still a project at this point, but he’s a player reminiscent/in the general mold of an Eric Bledsoe or a Tony Wroten (before compiling all his injuries), who’s played well in limited mins and torched the G League at age 25. Wouldnt mind him on a min deal as a third string PG

As for the necessary void to fill for backup 3 forward… i’m very inclined toward a defensive-minded addition: the likes of a Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, Solomon Hill, or Torrey Craig come to mind.

One offensively-minded backup, to advocate for the devil, would be Reggie Bullock.

And the still developing Keita Bates-Diop, Harry Giles, or Damyean Dotson my less-ideal (though hopefully non-problematic) alternatives.

Not quite sure if there are any remaining distribution-minded 1s left worth investing in Free Agency after the Warriors scooped up Wannamaker though am still enticed by the Clippers potentially checking in on the prices for Den’s Monte Morris, Dal’s Jalen Brunson, and Mem’s Tyus Jones!

I like our chances with our own Lineup of Death: Pat Bev; KL, PG, Mook and either Ibaka/Zubac.
If you play Ibaka at the 5, then all positions can defend and hit the 3.
My wife pointed out — with a new coach, we have a chance at adapting and countering each move.
I’m looking forward to the season.

Are the Clips working on something interesting? Probably just wishful thinking. But if they weren’t, then they would be already signing the best available FA’s remaining.

Not a biggie (no pun intended). Our bigger concerns are a backup point guard and another wing. Getting Ibaka was really huge for us. Having Serge is the difference between being a top 3 team in the West vs barely making/missing the Playoff cut.

The worst part is his biggest weakness, not being able to keep up, is replacable with AD at the 5 depending on the team. Vogel too competent with adjustments as this playoffs showed, and they can end games with a line up of Caruso, Matthews, KCP/Kuz, LeBron at the 4 and AD at the 5. I am thrilled about Serge, but let’s not delude ourselves. Lakers the best until proven otherwise, its on our guys to prove it

He’s good defensively around the rim too, and is a really good passer still. If you have a guy like AD or KAT, Gasol isn’t gonna be able to keep up, but Gasol will still make life tough on Zu for example.

Gasol is slower than hell and he will not keep up defensively. He’s only good to stretch the offense.
