Sabonis doesn’t attempt enough 3s, but is a clear upgrade over PG and fills both 4 and 5 spots. Fills the rebounding and defensive needs.

Utah doesn’t want PG, they’re young and rebuilding.

I’d rather keep PG instead of trading him for Sabonis. He’s a nice player, but I see him as a downgrade to PG.

An upgrade at 4 would be nice. We may be able to get John Collins (ugh), Kyle Kuzma (lol, Wizards are not that dumb are they) level of talent if we are lucky.

I don’t think he’s going to like it, but I think we are getting Harden significantly below the max. Like…30-35 million a year…maybe less? 25?
These will be the teams with enough cap space to sign him for more than that next summer worth mentioning (spoiler alert, the Nets aren’t one of them)

Jazz
Raptors
Wizards
Hornets
Pistons

Now 3 of these teams aren’t currently anywhere near being a playoff team, and I doubt he’s the difference maker. So look out for the Magic, Jazz and a Siakam-less Raptors I guess?

Pretty much agree with this. I'[m ok w/ being locked in if we win a championship sometime during this run, but at some point we’re just gonna have to bite the bullet and rebuild (whether intentionally or not), and that’s gonna suuuuuuck. But for now? Enjoy the ride while it lasts.

Also yea, in terms of All-Star PFs, there were rumblings a year or two ago that KAT might become available but that ship looks long gone now. Would you trade PG13 for Julius Randle? Pascal Siakam? Because those are the types of guys who are probably gonna be available going forward – not guys like AD, KAT, Giannis, or Markannen.

I mean, Memphis doesn’t have to tank – w/ all those guys out they aren’t gonna be winning too many more games regardless, and they sure as hell aren’t catching Detroit or San Antonio for the worst records…
