As tricky as it might be, it will be even less easy for the Clippers to improve their roster next year when we are over yet another apron, so I say squeeze all the juice out of the citrus this trade deadline. No deadweight after February 8th.
I’d like to see Tucker+Boston Jr & a second, and (depending on the return Bones) turn into a serviceable power forward on a contract that can be retained. After that 1 or 2 buyout guys.
These next couple of years, if you are on this roster you are able to contribute NOW with the exception of Kobe Brown and our three two-way contracts.

He’s still in the age range a rebuilding team covets.

Now Dorian Finney Smith should be a realistic target, but holy moly, for some reason the Nets think he’s going somewhere for more than two first rounders??? That fact right there indicates that it’s going to be tricky to land a quality power forward.

I have my eyes on Chris Boucher. Currently 31, so too old for the Raptors. Signed for next year, which I view as a good thing (so long as it’s not Jeff Green 😂) because we are going over the second apron next year with the Harden/PG13 deals.

It’s not just you it’s a lot of people. Sure he’s in the last year of a previous contract but the Pacers have his bird rights/ they are a playoff team. Wouldn’t a playoff team do their best to retain a solid backup power forward? I would hope the Clippers certainly would. If he’s moved it’s for something they can utilize to win now.

I do appreciate that he’s a crafty veteran, I just think we can do better.

We need to move off of him in exchange for someone that’s going to help this team win a championship within the next two years (because that’s our window, and looking like the best chance we’ve ever had aside from the first 3 quarters of game 6 against the Rockets 🥶)

Probably ups our chances of finding that ever elusive missing power forward.
