Dude is injury-prone and looked awful in the playoffs. Plus he’s likely to pick up his player option after this season for $40M, and he isn’t young anymore either (he’s 29).

Likely a moot point, since I doubt the Clippers would send Kawhi somewhere he doesn’t want to go, and I really doubt Kawhi wants to go back to Toronto. He literally left at the peak of the sport just to come home – I can’t imagine he’d want to go back to a worse team so far away from home now.

But hey, at least it’s easier for the Clips to keep an eye on his development compared to France I guess.
