I was curious about TV ratings as well. It looks like Clps/Suns series actually did quite well in comparison to 2019 (bubble) Western Conference Finals. I would of thought people being stuck at home would be more likely to tune in to a live sporting event and Lakers/Lebron would be a draw. Guess not. I don’t get how accurate these Neilsen ratings are anymore when there’s a large chunk of folks who stream from sources that aren’t being tracked and this probably screws up the demographics of the folks watching as well.

Begrudgingly, it’s a blessing for 2 reasons.

#1. Our schedule is so difficult early on that by the time Kawhi could return, (could…maybe not should) teams will have a big enough lead on us that he’ll opt for further healing.

#2. Without the pressure of competing for a championship Lue is free to experiment and see what we have. Maybe we cut the minutes of our vets to rest their legs for next season when the total roster (hope of hopes) is healthy.

How were our playoff tv ratings without Kawhi? We’re they a disaster? Asking for a paranoid conspiracy theorist I know.

I do this every year. Comparing our calendar to Lakers and thinking, god damn they have a way easier schedule. Things always seem to balance out though. You never know whose going to be a tough matchup. What players on other teams will get hurt, etc. THAT SAID, god damn they have a way easier schedule!

That aspect of the schedule is on a rotation basis. Who they play 3x vs 4x. So it is preset who they will play 3x this year. You just kinda hope those teams are good the year they come up. Not so lucky this time.
