PJ > Lou for the playoffs & it’s not close! You can never have enough elite wing defenders + we all know he’s money from the corner

He’s making nearly $13 mil so a buyout would be the only option, for us atleast.. Also, not sure about his sons living situation but whichever city he resides in may have an impact on where he chooses, if bought out

I already felt like the Clips need more PGs not less. I was hoping to see more out of Mann this season, but so far hasn’t shown the improvement to earn rotation minutes. Reggie, I’ve always said is a reasonable backup PG, but it’s because he’s a solid scorer, and not good at much else. Not really what I would want from a backup PG playing with like other skilled scorers like Morris and Paul George.

I think given what we’ve seen from Lou so far this year, I’d be willing to roll the dice on adding PJ Tucker, but it wouldn’t be without a lot of hesitation.

Maybe I’m writing Lou’s obituary too prematurely, and maybe too closely relating his end of career to Jamal Crawford, but I just am anticipating it being pretty hard to trust we are going to get the Lou we’ve seen the last few years moving forward.

I’m willing to be patient with Mann and Oturu.
2Pat (who obviously would have to agree to the circumstances) & Fi are really the players I’d like to see packaged for something that passes for an NBA body. That’s coming from someone who actually wanted PatPat back. Not for more than the minimum though, holy crap, and even if it was you’d like a minimum guy to see the floor. Those little fudge ups haunt. That’s what this is all about. We haven’t seen this lack of trade flexibility ever.

If we had Lonzo and Hayes instead of Lou and Zu we’d probably be sitting here going “how can we turn these 2 good young players we have into a scoring guard and a post defender?”

For the Pelicans, it really makes no sense.

Lou+Zu+Detroit seconds for Lonzo+Hayes. It’d be if pelicans don’t want to pay Lonzo/think he is gone and if they value Zu higher then Hayes.(also would make Adams more expendable/tradeable eventually)I’m assuming pelicans would say no and imagine they could get more for Lonzo but maybe not? They can either use Lou as a mentor+playoff push or flip him for 1-2 seconds somewhere. This gives clippers Lonzo who would be a solid backup point guard and would become the starter in the future(similar to bev so we’d always have that skill set on the floor) clippers also get Hayes who is worse then Zu but is still playable and very young. Maybe clippers sign dedmon or another center in buyout?

Enough rambling, we can all watch the Nets-Experiment fail:

Dude the Nets are the most fascinating experiment this season. I wouldn’t be surprised if Kyrie literally retired tomorrow.

Please no desperate moves, just useful ones. Like Batum. No one would have predicated the usefulness of this move.

I for one had a good feeling because he is European, with solid fundamentals and he was clearly dissatisfied with his role at the time. But he surprised even me!

I saw things I was expecting: rebounds, assists, defense.

But his offensive game was better than imagined.

The only way to get value beyond salaries is to do your homework (undrafted, reinvented, improved players).

Really don’t see who we could get when the price is both Beverly and Lou.

Talking about unicorns, let’s get a time machine and bring prime Gary Payton.
