It’s like a ZU cult with Clipper bloggers. I mean Zu definitely is the best rim protector on the team, sets great screens, is a fantastic free throw shooter and gets fouled alot, and he’s been doing a better job finishing with authority near the rim lately. But at the same time he’s pretty slow, and I don’t know whether it’s a conditioning thing sometime he just looks flat footed and lethargic out there like he did this game. He also still needs to work on those hands and he bobbles the ball and gets stripped alot.

Getting rid of Lou alone would have been addition by subtraction. Just like Trez I was hoping he was gone in the offseason via trade but better late than never. Nothing against Lou but his skill set was redundant on a team where most of the rest of the team is better 3 point shooters, and where we have 2 stars that need the ball in their hands not Lou. Also Lou as a playmaker was way too prone to dumb turnovers and settling for contested fadeway long 2’s. Not to mention his gawd awful defense. The fact that Rondo is showing he’s far from washed and is exactly the high IQ playmaker this team desperately needed is just icing on the cake. This trade was a HUGE upgrade for the team. Kudos to the FO on a very savvy move.

As to Bev, blessing in disguise having him ejected. His offense is limited and defense is more heart/hustle than skill. Give me Rondo and a dose of Reggie over Bev.

Yeah, I’m with you goons on 2Pat. Guy’s showing us some b-ball acumen and it may be in part DMCs arrival giving him some competition. Zu was pretty exposed and needed to sit as he’s no outside threat (as is 2Pat) and pretty weak on the PnR. Better to see it now and adjust. 2Pat rose to the challenge. Was nice to see.

Patterson in addition to being pretty good at basketball is also very thoughtful and apparently well educated. He speaks and writes like a college professor.

Yeah, he wasn’t my 1st or 2nd choice but I honestly forgot about his defense & intangibles til the trade actually went down.. Lou needed to go, one way or another, & after just 3 games (1 game really), Rondo was the best trade option by far
