Clips gave themselves a chance tonight with a huge three-point shooting disparity. You like that they didn’t quit.

What you don’t like is that they didn’t come out sharp, and Denver was ready to punch them in the mouth. These aren’t the Dallas Mavericks. This Nuggets group has plenty of playoff experience together and literally just won a series scrapping back from down 3-1. Clips need to show up to play, from the jump, every game.

Seriously though, I respect/fear the hell out of Denver but I took heart that they weren’t able to put their foot on our necks as we fought back and back winning the remaining three quarters. Two BIG underground takes for me are that Doc got the team to buy in on losing with dignity and PG showed championship mettle in not cracking despite how daunting things were.

Zu played well tonight but I’d be curious to see what Noah might do with Joker. Joker isn’t particularly athletic so it would be a brains versus brains contest and I feel like Noah’s IQ might seriously be able to F__k with him.
