Kids were good and cohesive for the the first time.

Preston is raw but he can develop into a decent PG. I am sure they will coach him into what he should/should not do.

Boston in my mind is like Coffey 2.0 with a better handle. He may be the most usable at this point.

Keon is a decent defender already and he will flourish in a well defined role that does not include a huge offensive contribution. He’ll get his points from rebounds, steals, fast break etc.

Scrubb and Coffey will also be useful, I like that we still have them on the roster.

Oturu is gone, 🙁

I know it’s summer league but let me dream a little bit. 🙂
Preston is a floor general. He starts to feels comfortable on the court now.
I would love for him to make a mistake now and learn from it.
He will tone it down eventually.
But the guy can pass and his floater game will help him survive in the league.
Keon just hustles. That alone is a valuable skill.
If he can use his athleticism on both end of the floor, he will be the best two-way player of the bunch.
Handling and decision-making needs to be fine-tuned. I believe his work ethic will make it work.
Boston is an amazing talent. I just hope he surround himself with good people and keep the positive energy.
He can be a great player.
We have an exciting young core and I will joyfully watch them grow.

I missed the game but am relieved that both Preston and Coffey fared well. This means that all of our kids shined in at least one SL game. We can keep Coffey on a two way which is smart because if nothing else he’s 6’8” with some athleticism and skill which is totally fine for a break-the-glass wing. Now if we can just get Sieman to button up the Coffee jokes.

Obviously I have a spot in my heart for Bledsoe as a former Clipper, but I’m not that fucking nostalgic.
What I do notice is Bledsoe’s contract is only 3 point something guaranteed next year, so that could work wonders in a trade for a future acquisition
