As far PG13 being kawhi’s possible 3rd choice . If kawhi did reach out to KD and jimi supposedly, and one of them would of joined the clippers with kawhi we would of kept all our picks, and shai I believe which makes sense that PG13 was last choice because the obvious fact that with PG 13 the clippers were gonna lose assets to aquire and yes we did lose many.
This is where I agree with Bill Simmons that we gave up so much for pg13 and it makes hard on us fans after he disappointed with his play and to add insult to injury made his stupid comment.
Would of been way better if he just stayed quiet but I get it, we all say stupid shit without thinking sometimes it happens.

As far as Philly It’s not that I “hate” PG either but for me personally I’d say hard to trust! Just as doc has history of blown Playoff series , PG13 has his history too.

It’s about winning, and winning games that we should win, and not losing multiple frickin double digit leads to teams that we have on the ropes. PG’s mental breakdown is also worrying. I don’t think simmons or emblid have had that issue ‘yet…
Also I agree that there both younger and give us some of the future upside but also fit with kawhi. Emblid kawhi could combat the AD-LeBron , Murray-Jokic , Luka-porzingis teams in the WC.
I personally would love emblid over Simmons if a trade occurred. But also I could see MDA If appointed the coach position would rather trade Simmons who can’t shoot threes ?? Am I wrong? But also maybe he’s more keen on starting some small ball over there and would rather trade emblid ? Philly could just try and trade tobi or horford and keep Simmons -Embkid intact. We shall see. I think a lot more might come out of things that occurred in the clippers lockeroom during there meltdown. As soon as one player is not brought back/walks/ or gets traded they will be on McCollum/woj/Redick type podcast giving us there take.

Regarding PG being Kawhi’s #3 choice, which I know has been a talking point the last few days, I think it’s a little exaggerated. Kawhi reportedly did talk to KD and Jimmy Butler before Paul–but both of those guys were free agents at the same time as Kawhi, and he was trying to get them to come team up with him in LAC. It was only after it was clear that he wouldn’t be able to bring a second star-level FA with him to the Clippers that he saw an opportunity to get PG out of OKC. I don’t think there’s enough there to form a conclusion about how Kawhi feels about PG.

Regarding Philly, I’d trade PG for Simmons or Embiid, but that’s not a “I hate PG” thing, it’s just that I think those are good trades for the Clippers to get a star that is less redundant w/ Kawhi (regardless of which guy they get) and much younger than PG to give LAC some post-Kawhi hope as well.
