I like the emergence of Coffey & Mann but come playoff time, I’d like for them to have another wing who can guard 1-4.. Especially since he’s a much better defender & knowing that guys will run into foul trouble.. As for backup center, I rather them look for a defensive minded center in the mold of Zu as opposed to a shooting “big” like Dieng.. Unfortunately, I don’t believe there’s one out there.. Dedmon is the only guy I could think of.. Whiteside, if bought out, would be the 2nd choice, I guess

While Zu has surely been steady after a rough start as he was getting his bearings after finding himself coming off the bench, I’d say that superhuman Kawhi has without doubt been the Clippers’ most reliable (and obviously most impactful by far) player over the course of the season.

Even though chances are they don’t sign with us. Who knows?
I have to think they want to 1. Ring chase 2. Actually have a role 3. Look beyond this year at the team they join as to if they have a chance at resigning on a smaller deal next year or maybe a bigger deal if they’re looking for more money.
I did read Drummond was pissed about losing time to Jarrett allen and wanted to start, the lakers make much sense but at the same time I’m not even laker hating(well maybe a little bit lol) lakers injuries and there possible fall in the standings is a total wild card.

Meyers Leonard being released as well, he fits the 3rd string center mold can shoot but there’s his comment that he made while gaming that could be an issue obviously.,
Harkless would be nice, nice back up option for those that wanted ariza or tucker.
Maybe aminu gets bought out as well? Prolly not
I think more names will be out in the buyout hat so hopefully it gives us more options

Backup C’s

  • Aldridge – Bought out (Going to Heat)
  • Drummond – Bought out
  • Gorgui Dieng – Bought out (Would love to have him ask a Backup C against bigs, can defend, rebound and space the floor with 3pt shot ability)
  • Hassan Whiteside – Mostly likely will get a buy out

Would love to get any of them to go against the “big” teams ala Jokic, Gobert.

Zu, T-Mann, Luke & Coffey will boost the energy level in so many games.
The addition of Rondo is also interesting.
If he can bounce back after a bad period, like Batum does. That will be great.
Our rotation list is quite solid now.
Kawhi, PG, Mook & Batum for wings.
Zu & Serge for bigs. (2Pat is for emergency, he is a pro)
Bev, Rondo & Reggie for vet guards.
T-Mann, Luke & Coffey for young guards/wings.
That’s 12 deep, not counting any buy-out guys.
10 of them are two-way player, only Luke & Reggie are offensive-oriented players.
Our defense should be ok. That’s good start.
