I’d be willing to bet that the team may have promised that he wouldn’t be traded this year.

Given our own set of injuries I could see why the FO was hesitant to offer him anything more than a minimum. Plus he started his career w/ the Lakers, so maybe he actually wanted to go back to them to begin w/

I can’t imagine the Wizards preferring Nunn over former franchise icon in Wall, so it really does feel like the Clips could’ve gotten Rui if they wanted.

Although it’s pretty hilarious that Lakers fans immediately started comparing him to Kawhi after 1 game.

If would be funny if the Wiz got the better end of that deal. But small sample size for both.

He glided down the floor, and scored a trailing 3, a layup and a traditional post move on the low left block. Are folks really trying to say that he wouldn’t have helped the Clippers? Nothing he did yesterday was out of the ordinary for his skill set or record of performance to date.

And Coffey it needed.

He’s probably okay in a bench Bledsoe, change of pace role, but on a Clippers team with the depth they have, there is no reason to sacrifice minutes to Mann, Norm, or Kennard to shove Wall in the rotation.

As one of the few tradable contracts, I definitely would probably rather see Wall get traded for more of a position of need (ie. backup center) or combined in some type of consolidation move. Always the problem I saw with making a significant deal is the Clips most “tradable” players are all still GOOD players, but due to their contracts wouldn’t have a ton of value on the open market, or for a rebuilding team. I view Wall as a totally expendable contract which maybe can be combined with some picks to bring at least something solid back.
