The lakers winning has been overrated as the sixers winning based on competition. The league probably had some sort of handshake with Lebron to give them a cupcake schedule while giving the clippers a very tough one.

Winning a championship this year would put a huge middle finger towards the league, media and ESPN.

Eh, let’s try to compartmentalize this a bit. Losing last night and in that matter does suck but it happens. Happens repeatedly is a problem, but, as others have said, you’d rather it now then at the end of the season.

The Fakers winning on any random night especially this season has no impact on us or correlation whatsoever outside of early standings.

Concur this was a bad, bad loss. Lou was overwhelmed and we just got steamrolled with raining 3s. This loss combined with the Lakes undermanned win was a gut punch

Getting leads is nice and takes very good play to get them. If this crap loss just makes the team realize that you have to continue determined play after amassing leads, then it will have some redeeming value. If not, ouch.

Lost in all this is the Dubs are a good team. Steph went nuclear and the rest of team started to believe. That’s what great players do. Hopefully, ours will at some point.

As I said before, this team lost their inside scoring after leaving Montrezl. These lead blowings aren’t a fluke. Clippers is jump shot only team now. While jump shots are falling Clippers offense looks good. But when opposing team tighten things up on defense Clippers offense falls apart. There is no plan B. Pat Beverley’s offensive rebounds are not enough to cover their inability to score easy points under the rim and draw fouls.

Bad, bad loss. The starting 5 lost composure after the awful 3rd-4th quarter stint by the bench. Hope that MM gets back to form and gives a better contribution, but I see what author says about the risk of him getting back to chucking non-stop.

I do not agree at all with who already says that Zu should be in the trading block. You don’t cancel a season long of great play with the first ten games of the next season, ten games that include being moved to a totally different lineup. Zu has been such a bright spot for this team last year, gotta be patient.

I’d like to see more of a lineup that was there for a couple minutes, Kennard, PG, KL, MM and Zu, basically last year’s starters with Kennard in place of Bev; if Kennard can get it right he can offset the lack of playmaking you lose without Batum while still beeing largely covered by the team defense, and you have MM in approximately in last year’s role, where he did very well. Plus you have Zu in a very similar environment where he really thrived last year. I don’t think you loose too much spacing with 4 such good 3pt shooters and Zu in the p&r or the dunking spot.

Suddendly you have Batum and Ibaka in the 2nd unit and if you stagger KL and PG you avoid the 3 guards bench lineups and have much better defense in place. Of course, the best solution would be to swap some of Reggie or Lou for a better perimeter defender that needs at least to be respected as a 3pt catch and shoot threat, you throw in Beverley and you have 3-4 good defenders on the 2nd unit, much more balanced. But not sure how that could happen.

Yep. I’ve held out hope for Lou long enough but gotta face facts. When the pace of the game heats up like this neither he or Zu can hang. Not a lot of realistic options out there. We could attempt to package them both for an athletic rim protector like Capela or another option might be to move young developing Zu for Plumlee to Detroit straight up and Lou and a couple of our 2nd rounders for Rondo when the time is right. . Plumlee ain’t sexy but he actually does protect the rim, has experience and isn’t nervous out there. I’m not panicked but I feel like we have the best starting five in the league and it would be a shame to not get the #1 seed because of complacency.
