I don’t think clippers can offer anything less than Leonard or PG. There is going to be a ton of interest for KD.

If I’m NOLA, I like the idea of doing Zion and Valanciunas and however many laker picks/swaps it takes to get the deal done. That team was showing some growth last year. A trade like that would be way better than a realistic clipper package.

Honestly, I don’t see our FO taking a big swing here unless KD calls us out to trade for him. More likely, a team is going to gut itself to get him.

To get something of value … you have to give up something of value. Booker, while good, is not on the same level as KD. Bridges is also good, but he’s a role player. He’s never going to be a star. He’s a great defender with some offensive game. However, giving up those two for KD doesn’t put the Suns any closer to a championship imo.

I would imagine Brooklyn has all of the leverage. KD’s contract is through the rest of his career (age 37). Whoever gets that contract is likely going to get a KD who is willing to play basketball. Every big market team should be going after him hard.
