If we actually get that IND pick and accept offers for Kawhi, then it’s full on rebuild mode this offseason. And we might not be that bad with the influx of younger talent.
May the 10th can’t come soon enough.

Boy, I miss watching the clips play ball. It’s like detoxing off something. There’s a visceral sensation of loss. Getting better now as I’m picking up some good underdog vibes from these POs. ATLs Jalen Johnson is intirguing. Big ass guard with raw skills–seems to be fearless. Pulling for them. And CJ McCollom is showing his best stuff. Then there’s the magic, a really hard playing, scrappy team. On the flip side, the Rox are utterly underwhelming and the suns shouldn’t be anywhere near the POs. Yeah, I know they’re playing the champs, but still………

Yea definitely 2020 was the most talented team. 2021 was probably their best chance to win a title. In 2020, Lou/Trez was basically unstoppable off the bench with solid pieces around them. I always will wonder what would happen if the season didn’t shut down. Clipper had the best home record in the west (better than the 1st seed Lakers) so theoretically they were the most hurt by playing in a neutral site.

Add to that, there were clearly some guys that did not want to be there. Lou in particular doesn’t get enough blame for the Nuggets series where it felt like he was done with being in the bubble.

Sure the Lakers were the best team all season, so maybe they deserved the title. But they got it without having to play the 2nd or 3rd best teams in the league, of which I put a lot of blame on playing in at a neutral site.

Definitely finding guys in the draft or a UDFA is something that plagued the Clippers for the past decade. Lob City era, not getting a single rotation player in the draft is to me one of the main reasons they couldn’t take that next step up into being a contender. 213 Era, is always the “at least we got Mann” era, where they “hit” on one second round pick, but clearly was not enough. We haven’t had more contributions from the draft from the current guys in Jmill, Sanders, and YKN since…. rookie SGA? Blake and EJ?
