If we can go all the way, I want us to go through LAL, PHX, DEN, in no particular order. Just bring them all.
And another stretch 4 / small ball 5 might help us but Plum and Brown is a good option when we want to mix it up.
Few more games before the half way point of the season with us as the 4th seed and playing well with room to grow.
If you told me we will be in this position in the middle of the early season losing streak, I would definitely take it. 🙂

Fuck the refs, man. That’s one thing we can all agree on. The blatant simping for the Lakers this game was sickening. If anyone hasn’t seen the Raptors’ coach’s post-game tirade yet, I highly recommend it – Darko dropped some amazing lines:

Honestly it’s gotten to the point where I actually wouldn’t consider a Congressional investigation into gambling companies and the major sports leagues a waste of taxpayer money – this shit has gotten outta hand.

A lot on $ on the line when LeBron and/or the Lakers aren’t relevant. It’s just sickening to watch all these years. The rectitude and impunity that LeBron maneuvers with has become insufferable. Look no further than the snarky way he threw Ham under the bus with that back-handed compliment to Ty. He made some other comment about Spo’s new contract today that was another dig. Like you said, F him and the Lakers.

Not even debating the flagrant, kinda okay. The ‘illegal screen call’ on the game-tying 3 and the bs foul on IQ really decided this imo. And for sure you can find something that went against the Lakers but nowhere near this impactful. Let the players decide the games and don’t hand out techs and ejections for ridiculous stuff, those are my biggest qualms with NBA officiating in general. I’d even accept the occasional game that’s totally unwatchable because of too many foul calls, the constant illegal dribbles NOT being called, travels, SOME imbalance but when refs decide the entire game, that’s where the line is really crossed. Warriors benefit from this as well, Draymond making it to the end of the first OKC game was laughable

…also that flop by AD on a game tying 3 with about 30 seconds left that resulted in a Toronto foul (wiping out the basket) was total garbage by the refs.

Yeah, that 4th foul call on Quickley was huge. It was a sus call to begin with, but that foul took IQ out of the game and allowed the Lakers to claw back into the game.

Lakers skated by Toronto. I note for the 2nd game in a row the refs really stepped on the scale for them. They called a phantom foul on Barnes guarding AD; replay shows that AD hit Barnes in the chin; refs rationalized their foul by saying that Quickley fouled AD before the contact with Barnes (incidental/touch contact). Toronto loses the challenge + time out; Lakers get FTs. A few seconds later, Quickley drives to the rim for a layup; Reddish sticks his chin out and IQ’s elbow hits Reddish in the fact; Refs decide to call an offensive foul on Quickley (fouls him out); and then adds a flagrant – 1, giving the Lakers 2 shots and the ball. That shift in points and possessions put the Raptors in a whole with time running out and similar to the Clips they made it close but were 1 possession short.

Refs took out the Raptors’ best player, gifted the Lakers 3 points, and gave then just enough breathing space to win the game by 1 pt. F the Lakers.

Looool. Typical Lakers whistle. Waving off the game-tying 3 on a ridiculous offensive foul call. Quickley fouled LeBron’s shoulder with his chin, picked up his 4th and eventually fouled out. Toronto with 9 more fouls. Nice job, refs, you decided the game once more rather than the players. Whatever, win tomorrow
