Smart NBA teams need to institute some mandatory anger management training or, better yet, do anger screening as a part of draft/trade evaluations. It’s a pretty big factor. I was a bit surprised at the Plum/bones dust up as both guys, from the outside, look pretty controlled and mellow but obviously appearances can be deceiving.

Wow, that’s a bold pronunciation. Beg to differ tho — the play-in is a huge success — don’t think anyone wants to change it. I think it could be tweaked. Something like giving the higher seeded teams a choice as to opponents mite be pretty cool.

With the loss of Gobert and McDaniels, I don’t think they can beat the Lakers, but it’s just one game where anything can happen. If somehow the Lakers miss the playoffs with consecutive losses, I expect the NBA will change the play-in format to appease them.

If Marcus is playing super physical like he was 2 years ago, he could be really useful. He was playing injured in our series against Phoenix and I really felt like if he was healthy/rested (we had no more than 1 day of rest for about a month at that point) we would have won that series.

If we end up having to play small ball, Morris could be useful.

I think 5 or 6 games sounds right. I think their top 5 are just better than our top 5. Kawhi is insane, but KD is just as insane (if healthy). Booker is way better than our second best player and he’s also pretty much unstoppable. Ayton can play Zu off the court. And CP is a much better game manager than Russ.

I think our best bet in this series is to go small with a lot of Batum and RoCo and playing more Mann than Russ (although I think Russ could have a lot of utility in this series). Our small ball could turn Ayton into a liability for them and I thin Mann gives us another defensive option to provide Leonard with some help/relief.

I don’t think PG potentially being out kills us if we don’t over play Russ or Morris. We have a ton of defensive options to make up for no PG and our offense should be sufficient to make Phoenix work.

Sacramento vs Golden State… Of course the champs are massive favourites. And I don’t think the Kings can win the series. Looking forward to what Mike Brown comes up with. He knows Golden State’s small weaknesses as a team and individually. I’ll be intrigued what he’s going to attack and how he’s trying to defend them.
