Serge: he’s just warming up;
Zu/Mann: no shrinkage, only expandage;
Mook: again, just getting warm.
Only thing I don’t like tonite is the back to back but IF KL can go, we’ll get this one.

This could be a “settle down Mike Smith” moment. While there were a lot of heartening things to take from this game the Cavs really are at the bottom rung of the eastern conference. Miami will be well rested and has everyone back but Dragic. We’re on the second night of back to back do that is going to be a Slog. Utah will beat us both times without PG and then it’s the unicorn Nets. I don’t care if we lose all four as long as our key rotation guys acquit themselves well. No one loves Lou more than I do but let’s see if his spongy dribble and release can get off against crisp Upper tier defenses. Will Zu and Mann shrink under the pressure of torrid offenses and defenses with no margin for error? Does Serge hit all those shots? Can Mook keep dropping threes when guys are in his grille? Let’s not try to get too high or too low through these next four games. Like I said I don’t care if we lose all of them so long as the above concerns are put to rest. If we go 2-2 then Hallelujah!

There are 4 teams in the East that are above .500. 4. Teams. God it feels like the East has been the JV league since MJ retired. Sure, the top teams over there have the potential to beat a contender in the West on any given night, but as a whole the Eastern conference is a joke. Brooklyn has the highest ceiling, but their defense is horrible (except for when the refs decide to just let them mug people, a la what happened against the Clippers), and the Bucks and 76ers have coaches who I don’t trust in the postseason. Miami could very well end up as the 5 or 6 seed and make it to the Finals again.

It really is such a rollercoaster. So many pessimistic observations I foolishly had at the beginning of the season, and I’m getting proven a curmudgeon for having them, and it’s freaking wonderful. At one point I wondered, was Zu only good because last year’s starters were masking his ability? Wrong. Does Lou have anything left in the tank? Yes!
Now I’d like to see our front office work some fringe miracles, and see some kind of functioning return for Fi & Patterson. Also, Luke needs to be consistently assertive obviously/ PG13 needs to return 100%
