Do an ala Bucks HC change since at least with Craig, he would be very defense oriented. He comes from the Riley/Spo lineage and discipline. There is nothing to dislike about Craig thus far. Being number one in offense since 12/1? Defense wins championships.

Those 2 losses are of the ‘bite you in the ass’ variety. I put both losses on the head coach.

I don’t ride roller coasters. Don’t have the stomach for it. Feel like each round of the Playoffs is going to be a new stomach-turning ride.

These playoff series are going to come down to a handful of crunch time games and I just don’t have confidence in this team in a firestorm.

Luka isn’t losing to us a third time in a row. With Kyrie in tow forget it.

NOLA has more mettle than we do too although home court could be the difference for us.

I feel good about a Phoenix matchup because they are just a lesser version of what we are. I respect SACTO a lot but can’t see them beating us four times with their mediocre leadership either.

But if we end up somehow drawing the Lakers we would be in big trouble. I fear also the Warriors at Crypto as bad as they looked the other day.

We showed we could compete with Minny in their gym two times in close games so that’s probably the best second round matchup. The Thunder are crazy good and even though they are looking a little skinny of late I trust their character and confidence level much more than ours. Clippers haven’t shown me anything to believe they can beat Denver. Would take an injury to either Joker or Murray to have a chance.

We need either Phoenix or SACTO in the 1st round, Minny in the 2nd and a fatigued/banged up Nuggets team to advance.

I’m not “hating” on this team I’ve just accepted our lot at this point and can’t wait for the playoffs now.

I can also cite this season: what Lue did up until January made a ton of sense. He first had a focus on reduced turnovers, then addressed the starting lineup, established clear rotations, fine-tuned the roles of people, offensive efficiency took off not only as a whole but also the different play styles improved etc.

He did a lot right and he/the coaching staff focused mostly on improving one thing at a time which led to a steady improvement and continuity. When it was time to address another point, the team would not lose the positive immediately.

That changed dramatically at one point: I can’t make out that emphasis on improving one particular aspect anymore. There’s no red line, no big picture plan I can recognize. Worse, the things that are recurring are all negatives and bad habits we have practiced: lack of movement, lack of ball movement, stagnant offense that doesn’t get the entire defense moving, doesn’t force them to make difficult decisions and screw up at some point, lack of pace, a reliance on jump shots and superstars, questionable shot selection, very poor transition defense, lack of energy, urgency and focus to start games. To only name the points that are totally linked to coaching, I still left out the roster flaws that affect it and might very well forget some other points.

It goes beyond some players being in a slump, we play dumb basketball and aren’t well-coached on average. While Ty is clearly capable and also clearly has done a much better job earlier in the season, I got no idea what dynamics are going on that change the successful approach of the coaching staff. There’s still games and situations where Lue makes the right calls/addresses what’s necessary but it’s situational and reactionary rather than systematic and with a clear handwriting.

Honestly though, every once in a while I wish our local guys would really dig in on some of the obviously stupid decisions that have been made over the years, whether that’s Ty pointless tinkering or the FO’s dumb philosophy of purposely not fixing glaring weaknesses on the roster.
