Guys need to make themselves available and catch KLs attention. KL will pass but only if it’s a good B ball play. Playing smart is the way to win without PG.

Plus, Ty going real small at the end with Nic at the 5 was not Doc 2.0 by any stretch. Ty was shrewd in talking pregame about going with two bigs at times. Nice misdirection.

Liked “… the keys to the offense were hiding in their defensive bag, which the Clippers had misplaced (or ignored) for the first 24 minutes.” I turned the game on at the beginning of the second quarter and was at first worried about the score. But Kawhi had an A- game, great except for the number of turnovers. He gave up the ball on two consecutive possessions in the third or maybe fourth quarter. We’re certainly spoiled and fortunate to have one of the five or so best players in the game. He was super as usual. And Lou was Lou again, which was so good to see. Baby Zu needs to go up faster and harder under the basket. He’s done that for stretches in the past, but in this game was easy pickings. Not his best game. Great to have Pat Bev back. Good team, good coach. Hopefully PG will return before long.

They really can’t afford to sleepwalk like that against even halfway decent teams, especially w/o PG13 – I guarantee you the Bulls (mostly Zach Lavine) will score way more than 112 if the Clips don’t shape up on Friday.

Also it’s nice to see Lou finally back after his hip injury – we’re gonna need him even more now w/ PG13 out (and w/ Kennard failing to step up).

Regarding Kawhi’s ISOs, I think I’ve been a little too harsh on him. I get why the best strategy right now is to post him up, especially on a smaller defender, but I think the problem here is actually two-fold – yes, he’s forcing it too much on his own (often into double and triple teams) and turning the ball over too much, but the guys also just aren’t moving w/o the ball when he goes into his offensive motion. We’ve already seen that Kawhi can be a decent distributer, so guys need to help him out by cutting and moving when their man sags off of them to go help Kawhi’s defender.
